| Anyone know the ticket availability for this one? I'm guessing not many will have been sold as it's in Wrexham, it's too far away from London for many Aussies to make the trip, England are playing the same day and the USA don't have that many fans.
I haven't got a ticket but I'm considering going as I'd like to see what should be a full strength first choice Australian side in action.
I could ring the RL ticket office and ask but I can't be bothered holding in a queue for ages.
Cheers.

I tested without buying and got offered

Thanks F.A ... I was really just wondering if anyone knew how many had been sold as I'm not 100% sure I'm going to be able to make it and if I did go it would be as a walk up on the day.

| I'd rather they charged a lot cheaper than that and got a full house of locals.

Looking on the ticket site it seems there are other prices for tickets ... £40 is category 1 ... the cheapest is category 5 at £10 with others priced at £15, £20 and £30 for adults.

| I got half price tickets for £7.50 before the tournament began on the off chance England would make it and hoped Wales would at least get there.
Not to be though but the looking forward to it all the same. I think anything above 5,000 will be a success.

| GU50 is the half price discount code for this one.
H50 and HJ50 for the Friday and Sunday quarters. The DW one oddly stopped working somewhere around the time England were confirmed to be involved...

| I'm going it's a 1pm KO, and it takes 1hr 20 via train to get to Via Maghull, and 1hr 36 to get to Wigan afterwards.... so i'll probably wait after the game, and try and get me some signed stuff, cause i'm a fan boy like that!
Would love to meet some of my idols, because i don't think that'll be at all possible at Wembley or OT.

Do you know if there's any working discount for the semi at Wembley?

Because had Wales qualified this would have been the most likely tie for them to be in, so would have been a home game for them. As a contingency in the event that they didn't qualify, Wrexham is probably the closest Welsh venue to the RL heartlands, so a manageable journey for many fans in the Northwest who might not support either team but want to see the game.

| We should not undo all the good work so far by offering last minute panic, free tickets.
If you do it once it sets out the stall that wait and wait and you will get freebies.
If it does not sell out it does not sell out.
But I think it's early days to be calling it. Wigan is looking more likely to sell out so there maybe some last minute people who decide to take in a different game.

No. You're missing the point completely.
The tournament average is around 12,500 per game so why would 5000 be regarded as a success' for a quarter-final ? There were over 8000 for Wales-USA at Wrexham so there should surely be at least the same to see the Kangaroos.

It's a dead rubber.......Australia will win by as many as they need to and given the expense many fans are going to attending games around the country, this might just be a game too far for some what with a trip to London next weekend.
For the record, the last time the Aussies played in Wales, 5,233 bothered to watch them hammer Wales.....I'd say 5,000 would be a great turn out given that before this RLWC the previous 10 RL internationals played in Wales averaged 2,657.
60,000 across the 4 games will boost the average.......good job IMHO!

I agree with that analysis 100%. However, because my good lady is American, I shall be one of the faithful in the half empty ground watching the Aussies commit a massacre. They should arrive at the final barely having broken a sweat other than the England game thye have had Ireland, Fiji, USA and the weakest team in the semis.
I have seen them twice so far and whilst they are very good, they seem like automatons going through their routines and do not seem to engender any passion or enthusiasm and, due to the remoteness of some of their match locations, Ireland and Wrexham, they do not, to me at least, seem to be any part of the general euphoria which has engulfed this competition
