I'm sure McNamara just likes calling up any eligible Englishman in the nrl , granted I haven't seen much nrl this season but as you say why not draft someone in from the knights squad as I assumed that was the purpose of it if not why do we need it also baffles me why andy lynch hasn't had a call up

Dont you think fact he's now based in Australia might have something to do with his non-selection in knights squad?. They arent going to pay to fly him back for a knights game. Cost of the flights will probably be more than the gate receipts for the game.

I've not seen the NRL are regularly, but he was as bog standard as they came when playing over here. Now he has either been paying out of his skin or the NRL is are rubbish comp



I hope he has improved though as we are looking slightly short in the prop department for next years WC if we lose Graham & Sam.

Mossops pretty decent, Crabtrees been superb this year but he may lose form. Morley will be another year older and i'm still not convinced he's back to his best.

Interesting how Peacock announced his retirement, and now he's started playing his best rugby for many years.

I really think not picking the younger players is a mistake by Mcnamara as been selected for England would have given the young players a massive lift going into next season and the real belief that they could get into the squad for next years WC.

The Knights isn't a 'second' team though, it's a development squad, they're different things. I would say the top two props are easily not as good as Luke Burgess has been this season, Harrison has been playing at 13 and Patrick started well but second half of the season hasn't been that great. Scott Taylor has played well but I'd still have Luke Burgess in front of him.

Mossop has had a pretty poor year, especially at the back end of the season. Wouldn't trust him against the Aussies to be honest. Crabtree would be ripped to shreds, as much as I love him.

It makes more sense imo to have a player like Luke Burgess in the squad then James Graham anyway even if it has come around in a strange way. We have 12 months before the world cup and have just had the cornerstone of our pack from the last 10 years retire so we need to look at replacements for him and possibly Morley asap.

The candidates at the moment are the likes of Hill, Mossop, Luke Burgess, Taylor etc so now is the time to be playing them and having a look at them.

luke in my opinion has been more consistant than sam this year
