What a pleasure it was listening to the informed, articulate, intelligent commentary on this morning's GF.

You must have been listening to a totally different commentator to me, Warren is 5 years past his sell by date.

They aren't that good. Unfortunately, anyone's commentary appears informed, articulate and intelligent in comparison to Eddie, Stevo & Co on Sky. If you want truly informed, articulate and intelligent commentary and debate, the ABC radio commentary team of Warren Ryan, David Morrow, Daniel Anderson & Co are the tops. That's who I listened to this morning in the background whilst watching on TV. Just a shame the internet stream lags about 30 seconds behind the TV feed but I coped

Eddie and Stevo are an embarrasment, there has to be someone at Sky who can see this and make the changes required. Dave Woods does a far better job for the BBC and Premier Sports.

Would be nice if they had the option of listening to a couple of fans commentate like they do in Premier League broadcasts, at least you'd be able to shut Stevo n Eddie off.

They're still 'commentating' for two reasons IMO:

The first is that viewing figures are still going up (according to Maurice), so from a high level within Sky, they wouldn't feel that there's a problem with the coverage or that it needs freshening up. Keep it as it is as it atleast appears to be working, I suppose.

Secondly, people working on the show itself, mainly the producer(s). I reckon that he/she/they just aren't Rugby League fans, and simply don't know that Eddie & Stevo are talking rubbish as they don't know enough about the sport themselves.

That would explain how Paul Cullen gets on B n A as well

I find Eddie and Stevo entertaining, and symbolic of rugby league. They will go down in history and deservedly so. Fabulous patrons for our sport, and two of the all time great sporting broadcasters.
