Hope he can recover from this but it looks like he won't be standing on that ankle for a long, long time.

Different sport, but looks like a very similar injury to that suffered by Arsenal player Eduardo a few years ago. He managed to make a full recovery, so hopefully Jharal will too.

Watched the game and it was a horrendous injury. It was obvious straight away Jharal was in some pain but until the reply it wasnt clear what he had done. And a big ouch is a under statement. I hope he has a speedy recovery !

I'm glad they stop replaying it, but saying that i wouldnt have seen it since it took me 5 minutes to take the pillow from over my eyes.

Happened on the other side of the field to where we were sat, wondered what had happened for him to be stretchered off. Ouch!

Absolutely sickening injury.

You could see it was a brake his ankle and foot where about 30 degrees sideways and the look of anguish on the players face awfull

he was holding it you could tell he didn't want it to be true, origin and season over.

I fear could be more than season over. Don't think he will be as good again after such a horrible fracture. I really hope not as I think he is a great player

yeah hes footwork is a massive part of hes game and speed which he will lose alot of.

If it's a clean break with no serious tissue damage then he could be lucky & be back bearing weight within 6 weeks so not a gimme a season ending injury.
Looks nasty but the adrenaline usually kicks in big style (your body releases a big dopamine rush), when I was in the army a lad I knew shattered his shin, said it didn't hurt that much at first despite it being a real mess though afterwards he was in agony. Many soldiers injured in battle experience similar, bodies defence mechanism.

You have to laugh in a way, the way he sits up and rubs his leg

Dr cod'ead's diagnosis? - Pott's fracture and dislocation of the tibia & fibula.

Prognosis? Won't play again this season but with modern physio techniques, he'll be back next year

I did a similar thing jumping off a wall when drunk. Didn’t feel a thing at the time but it hurt like fook the next day. My ankle was still displaced when I got to hospital, had to spend the night and have it straightened the next day. I was lucky as the bone split to allow my ankle to come out, and it didn’t snap. Six months it took to recover, but that was mainly due to the ligament damage.

Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Ouch! Full break through both fibula and tibia. Let's hope it's not a compound (bones broke through skin) or else it could get especially nasty.

It was a compound fracture - you could see a patch of blood on his sock at the point of the injury, which I assume is where the bone came through the skin.

It was a real stomach churner - nealy lost my pizza.

Think of George Rose's couple of season's ago for Manly. Compound fracture and foot facing the wrong way! Came back and won a premiership a year later. Good luck to Yow Yeh.

It was a bad one, no doubt.

He's young, strong and determined. He'll be back next year as good as new. Good luck to the kid.

On another note, loved the compassion shown by Greg Inglis when he was holding his hand......I love this sport
