| Just in from the Storm v Bunnies game. Enjoyed the game, both sets of fans were great and the Storm cheerleaders are outstandingly hot
It was my first time at AAMI and its a great wee stadium. Seems like no matter where you sit you get a good view, being so close to the pitch helps as well.
I'm no fan of the Storm but I'll make the effort to go along more often when they play at AAMI park, wish there were more stadiums like it.

| some good play from widdop for the last try and a great try saver from him midway through the second half. matt king looking pretty ordinary so far but needs earlier quality ball. souths seem a bit reluctant to ship the ball left

| Yeah true that.
Maybe in Perth, I heard they have thousands upon thousands waiting for a team.
55k would be perfect, matter of fact JB, it'd probably be too small eh?

| Actually JB. Did you hear that Manly are talking about playing a game in Perth? If Brookvale isn't ready in time I read in the local Manly Daily rag that WA would like to host it.

| Yeh Rooster it's the Melbourne game. Problem is Sth's have nib stadium tied up in a deal that doesn't allow any other NRL team to use it! Would mean the game would need to be played at subi oval which would be expensive to hire and also cr4p viewing on an AFL oval. There is also talk of the end of year test match coming to Perth.
Parra want to bet that the game in Perth this weekend draws a bigger crowd for two neutral teams than the Eels draw for their next home game?
Funny you should say that as our two main teams are getting a 70k stadium built for them, imagine if the eels had that level of support!
When Perth's new 70k stadium gets built I hope to see us bidding for a SOO and test matches often!

| Parra, 1 win in the last 18, 1 win at home which was last July says you should STFU, how would your team be going?
So shut your damn trap, your team if you had one would be averaging 4k at most by now with those stats.
We had 13k tonight and half left at half time, that's still more than what your team averaged in it's last year.
Prick.
Game in Perth Tonight had 15k, for 1 or 2 games a year, that's pathetic and you want to have a crack at Parramatta?
Dumb.

| Hey JB (Perth Red), I'll put Parra's crowd up against Perth TV ratings this week huh?
If the Sunday RL game shown into Perth is more than the eels home game crowd from tonight, I'll leave here, if it's not, you leave LU. Up for that mouth?
You like to be a smart, how about putting it on the line?
Wanna bet?

Why stop there JB? Why not show all the Perth att/yr...It will really make the case for a Perth team in 2015...:
1996
Parra: 11, 789
Perth: 8, 262
1997
Parra: 14, 296.
Perth: 8, 776
1998
Parra: 12, 688
Perth: 0
I want Perth back in the NRL JB but, FMD..after reading some of your posts on here and LU, Ima beginning to think Wellington may be a better idea.
I wonder if Gutts should be clearing some space in his diary.

don;t take it personally Joe I just do it to wind him up! It's too easy really and not as much fun as Dally who at least used to be good for a wind up laugh.
Still if he is going to come out with rhubarb you can't blame me for slapping him down every now and again

Aye, I know bud... I was a bit up meself t'other night. This forum had a great mix of personalities and posters, sometimes funny, sometimes mad but usually informative...eventually, lol. Be a shame to see another Aussie poster leave.
I really am looking forward to see your guys back in the NRL and the sunset over the ground was as spectacular as the game, tho obviously spoiled with the injury to Yow yeh(hope the fella comes back ok) oh, and the inane babbling of Ray Hadley(?)..I think thats the first time I'v ever hit the mute button during a game
That said, Italia's enthusiasm for the CQ bid is infectious....

I couldn't mute him as I was in the pub. Good for radio, maybe not too good for telly.

| yeh Joe was a lovely night for the game, made a nice change as 2011 was the wettest night ever and 2010 one of the coldest! I was thinking the AFL chiefs had a direct line to the weather gods!
Ended up being the 3rd biggest crowd of the round at Perth and a RL crowd record at nib so have to be pleased with that I guess. Roll on 2015 when we get the Reds back and a game every other week!
