There was clearly a section of the support they were bothered by down there. His rat brother, who totally outshone him today, was also swearing his head off at the same section of the crowd.

He should cop a ban for it. Totally unnecessary and like I keep banging on about, why not just focus on the rugby? Today wasn't his best game and his team were borderline lucky to get through and he's worrying about sticking the v to the crowd.

Decent final and Wigan deserving winners on the whole, but a totally unnecessary moment that the BBC managed to capture perfectly.

Listen, every great player has this side to them, they have that niggly side that makes all great players great. Sam wasn't showing the V to the fans, he was being a great player and showing his niggly side that we're all jel of.

Being niggly does not exclude you from becoming a great player but it is not mandatory. There have been many great players who played the game fairly and with dignity

I'm fully behind those who boo him at England matches now. He clearly thinks he's bigger than the game. And I've been strictly behind him since he kicked a Wakefield player in the head and as per usual went unpunished.
