Seriously though, people will call him an idiot and move on. Most of who were the ones spitting bile at the Cas club on these boards during the Gareth Thomas incident.

The RFL will ignore the incident, as will Huddersfield. But really, isn't an international RL representitative making homophobic remarks on a prominent, permanent, public record as bad if not much worse than a handful of morons in the Cas club making one idiotic, forgettable chant during a RL match?

Will Kevin Brown be punished? Will the Huddersfield club be punished for not controlling the behaviour of their players? Of course not, and none of the self-righteous on here will even consider calling for a punishment either.

Good job we never get any press coverage really. Can you imagine the press reaction if John Terry posted this to the world on Twitter. He'd be crucified.

Matt, I think the difference is the publicity and who it's from. For example if I had the chance to see Frankie Boyle and I was easily offended (which i'm not) I wouldn't go. The same for any stand up or edgey comic. If someone who was homosexual and a RL fan followed him on twitter, he'd get offended without any ind of warning.

For me Kevin Brown is an idiot for this. An apology is necessary.

Of course it wouldn't, but that's because they're malicious names - watch Graham Norton, Alan Carr and the likes on telly and they take great pride in reclaiming the 'poof' tag. There are different levels to these sorts of things IMHO, and Brown's comments might as well go alongside jokes about Irish, Englishmen & Scotsmen et al as far as I'm concerned.

The only people that would take offence to Kevin Browns comments are the same sort of people that write to their local paper week in week out in a town near you complaining that the cane should be brought back into schools, how Tescos have increased the price of tea bags by 5p a packet and how premier league soccer players are all bad role models for their kids.

It's a throwaway comment made by a nobody rugby league player (I had to google him to find out who he played for) that no rational person would even give a second thought to.

People should stop whinging and sooking about stuff that really isn't even worth thinking about.
