Why should it be 9? 9 points makes no sense at all? The 6 point deduction is a harsher punishment than in football.

Why the laughter Starbug? 9 points doesn't make any sense does it? If you want a harsher than 6 point deduction then it shouldbe 8 or 10 surely? Although that would be much harsher than in football.

See , that is one of the problems of us ' Championship ' lot having a different scoring system to you SDL lot , we all think of 3 points for a win now

General rule is the equivilant to 3 losses. Hence Widnes & Keighley 9 points, Crusaders will / should be 6 pretty straightforward!

Footballs seem's to vary from 9-30 depending on how debts are settled and who / how new owners come into place.

With the franchise system, points deductions are irrelevant as at their present stage of developement the Crusaders were never going to finish high enough in the table to have a realistic chance of getting to Old Trafford anyway. Also, consider this - if you were interested in taking over the Crusaders, would you do it unless you were guaranteed a license in the next round of 'applications'? I wouldn't if it looked like the team were going to be put down into the Chamionship at the end of next season (also see Martyn Sadler's comments in League Express about rumoured Sky intervention in this!).
