It no doubt will be the lowest crowd in the Super League era however it won't be announced as that. 2229 or there abouts to be announced

I don't know if many on here realise that it is a 6 o'clock kick off yes6 o'clock. On a Friday night in Neath. I expect the crowd to be announced to the team.

And rumour has it Brian Noble asked for the kick off time.

It will be interesting to hear the thoughts of those that do go. The Cas game of 1500 was apparently a great atmosphere, but many WHO WERE THERE questioned the reported figure saying it was nearer 800

Apart from being essentially another away fixture for the team and a waste of everyone's time, reports suggest the Castleford fixture made a massive loss too. Apparently the esteemed Mr Turner signed a contract at the start of the season because he thought it would lead to a sponsorship, and now the club face being sued if they do not play at least two games in the South. This is the same guy who was responsible for the visa issues and pretty much all the problems last year, and he seems to now be in charge again after being sidelined earlier in the year. So expect this kind of farce on a regular basis.

Was beginning to think there is a WRU infiltrator in the marketing dept up to dirty deeds but an excellent 1 hour radio show with Iestyn Harris, Gareth Thomas and Anthony Seibold tonight. All spoke extremely well to promote the professional, semi pro and amateur game in Wales. More of the same to make the blinkered South Walian media sit up and take notice and we're on to a winner.

Who cares if there's only 37 fans in attendance?

This is Super League, the greatest run competition in the sporting world.

The lowest SL gate was for the game between Paris SG and Salford at the Charlety Stadium on 2/7/1997 and was given as 500 (I'm always suspicious of gates quoted in round figures!). Friday's gate'll probably be a tad over 1000.

The problem is, that you cannot even blame the south wales fans. Who in their right ing mind put the game at 6 o'clock. Everyone who wants to attend the game has to take the afternoon off work. It's a ing disgrace.

Funny how nobody makes a song and dance when long established clubs like Wakey and Salford get poor crowds week in week out. Or nobody trumpets the massive success of Le Cats who are having to expand their Stadium to meet demand. Funny old game. They might not get a great crowd on Friday night but in 5 years time they will have left Wakey and Salford for dead.

I think you will find that the RFL will be leaving Wakey for dead, nowt to do with the Welsh.

If GT plays you could maybe add 500 to the crowd. I just hope noone calls him any mean names or both clubs could go bust.

No, why would we be - going by the progression you claim RL's made in London I would expect at least 1000 Quins fans to be making the trip?

Firstly, Progress has been made everywhere except on the gate. If you have read any of the 1,000,000+ posts I have made on the subject, you will be hard pressed to find any where I defend out crowds.....but it makes you feel better by deflecting attention away from your own short comings....and helps you forget your just a team full of Aussies



Secondly, with regard to travelling fans to south wales.......What happened last year? Was the game played on Dole day?
