| And I'm not happy about it.
When the Dobbins come to the KC its a big crowd. Thats all money in the bank for Hull FC. Same as when we venture across the city to play at their place...a big crowd...it makes them money. And the lesser team in Kingston upon Hull need all the financial help they can get to pay Paul Cooks fines and all the compo for FC for allegedly enticing him away to the cheap side of town. Thanks Dobbins.
Clubs like Leeds, Wigan etc etc usually bring a fair amount of away fans to the KC as well. Obviously a lot of this is to do with the fact they like watching a REAL team play the game for a change and not just because the KC is such a great place to watch Rugby league in.
And then there are clubs like Harlequins. About 15 or 20 away fans. Think how much money this is costing my club. God knows how many will come when the Crusaders come to hull. I think the old 'Celtic' side brought about 4.
Clubs like these are costing my club money. Widnes and Featherstone would at least bring a few hundred.

Not at all.
it's a valid point.
As a Hull FC fan yourself (allegedly) surely you can see what I'm saying.
You look at all those empty seats when clubs like Quins and Crusaders visit and work out how much money we have lost.

| yeah i see your point, because having teams based in London does nothing for your club when touting sponsors in terms of national coverage does it?
The European element in no way contributes to making the competition a more attractive option to sponsors?
The image of a true family orientated sport doesnt help..................oh wait, your an FC fan, probably one of the lovely people who choose to invade and trash pitches when you win the odd game.
So, in short, lets kick out Crusaders, Quins, and whilst were at it the catalans, go back to being on itv yorkshire, play in the winter and make all our money from sales of bitter, bovril and pies after 't game shall we.
Typing this was 2 minutes of my life ill never get back, dont know why i bothered really.

Neither do i.
The whole point of Quins & Crusaders is to try and spread the game. 10k at Crusaders first game means there is a fan base where they are now based. They should also have a better away following than Celtic with the big drop in distance to away games.
Catalans don't bring too many to away games but they do get reasonable crowds at home and helping to spread the word of our game is always a good thing.

He does but even worse he reckons taking 600 fans across the city for a local derby is a big deal.
Bless.

We have discussed the reasons why the crusaders got 10,500 in their first game on other threads.
Complimentary tickets and BOGOF offers featured highly in the discussion.

| But surely, when you play Quins and Crusaders, the lack of traveling support means there are more tickets available for the millions of true league fans in Hull.

| You really are a numbnutz aren't you! Even after I pointed out that Quins were responsible for your biggest gate last year except the Derby, you still have to have a go......pointless really, but here we go again. Listed below are the clubs responsible for the lowest gates last year:
Last Seasons Lowest Gate (includes play-off games) at:
Bulls = Celtic
Castleford = Catalans
Celtic = Huddersfield
Huddersfield = Catalans
Hull FC = Celtic
HKR = Quins
Leeds = HKR
Catalans = Celtic
Quins = Celtic
Salford = Wakey
Saints = Huddersfield
Wakey = Catalans
Wire = Celtic
Wigan = Castleford
Before you start having a go at the new boys or even us Londoners, I would suggest you enquire as to why Huddersfield, Wakey and Castleford feature on this list....as for HKR, I have already been told that this was a play-off game.....so what? In fact, that makes that gate even more terrible.

You'll struggle.
Can you prove how much the television money would be without a London and Welsh based team? What about the sponsorship (not just for Hull, but the league as well)? Have you even considered that some teams might attract MORE home fans to a game than others?
Let us know when you're back with your findings.

Shouldn't really include the play-off games. It doesn't include season ticket holders, so the findings aren't fair.
It's no coincidence that Catalans and Celtic make up most of the clubs lowest gates. But clubs don't just make money from other clubs via away fans. Something that the simpletons struggle to understand. Otherwise we'd have a bloody Yorkshire League.

...as much as you'd like to "big up" this tw@ as a fisher, he is just a wind up merchant.
All that has happened in this thread is that he has AGAIN been proved wrong, misguided and a perfect example of an anti-expansionist that gives so many fans of heartland clubs a bad name by being tarred with the same brush. I await his FACTUAL rsponse to disprove my statistical post or to prove his assertion that Celtic and Quins are costing his club money.......but I doubt that will happen. Instead, he will slope off to another forum and start another nothing thread, which I have no doubt, I will respond to.

| I don't know whats worse the original troll thats been posting rubbish for while masquerading as a fan. Or all the gullible idiots that like to reply and then use it to have a go at the fans of Hull FC etc . There are plenty of trolls on here from different clubs and there has been many unsavoury incidents with fans from most clubs over the past few years(if you can call then fans).I guess this is the problem of being supporters of the greatest game on the greatest RL fansite(you will get idiots trying to provoke others).

I think most posters realise that the amoeba-celled one is not an FC supporter, the sad part is it's not even a very good troll, probably on here due to being banned off the High School Musical forum for being owned too many times.

Try worrying about getting your own crowds (for whatever club it is you actually support, assuming there is one) rather than relying on other clubs' fans to subsidise you. And as I've told you before, this is getting tiresome.
