| Before I start, this isn't a serious suggestion or anything, just thought I'd gage interest in a topic!
After the discussion of a Pacific Islands team, someone brought up Europe. After explaining why it was a totally different kettle of fish (i.e. would anyone apart from the English get in) I began to wonder if anyone actually would. I guess it's the same sort of situation Down Under, just maybe not as big a scale. Would any Kiwis displace Aussie players? Not many seem to appear in the World XIII.
If it was the case of England with the odd Frenchman representing Europe vs Australia with the odd Kiwi representing Australasia, would we stand a chance? We've beaten the Aussies before I suppose!
What would everyone's teams be? Would Raguin, Baile, Bosc or Fakir get in Europe for example? And I aren't including pretend Frenchmen like Greenshields, McGuire and Mogg! And Cunningham's retired!

A couple of the french forwards might get in the sqaud, bosc would make the cut too imho. In a few years a few of the welsh lads might make it, i like the look of elliot kear at fullback.

| Bosc for certain.
Maybe Ferriol, Elima and Bentley.
That Elliot Kear will be a good player, 10 years down the line wales are going to have a very very good side.

That's if Crusaders don't implode in the next few seasons. The idea is a good one. But we'd just get mullared. I think trying to fortify the European Nations' individual teams would be a better idea.

| Much as I like lots of the Frenchmen named, I don't think Pelo, Bently, Baile or Raguin would make the cut. Elima and Fakir would make the squad, would they displace Burgess or Ellis? You'd have to make that decision in training. Likewise Bosc and Ferriol would be involved, but is Bosc's English good enough? If it is then Tomkins/Bosc in the halves (and Eastmond in the centres). Ferriol is good, but he needs to be able to talk to the rest of the team - English again - and is he better than Graham/Morely/Peacock(/Crabtree)?

If that does happen, he will end up at another SL team with the potential that he has.

After the game yesterday, I've changed my mind about Pelo, he'd make the side.

Isn't Pelo from New Caledonia? He'd be eligible fo the Pacific Islands side as well.
