From the terraces, on Sky I've watched many games over the years and often found myself at bemused at some of the officials decisions and usually when upon replay on the big screen noticed that I got the decision correct from my vantage point. I criticise referee's a lot at some of the decisions they make. It's a passionate sport, and games, titles, future's could depend on the blow of one whistle.

Played rugby for many years, including having trials for Yorkshire (union mind) but now play football for a club in the Conference North. I'm 18, and in very good physical shape.

I've decided that I want to try and make a difference - be a referee and see what I can do for the game of Rugby League. But, how do I go about this? I don't know how to start at the foot of the ladder... Anyone had any experience with this? And if so, how did/are you faring?

are you suggesting that refs should ignore people's actual names and insist only on using English versions of their names?

Or do you not think it's the height of ignorance to refuse to learn people's actual named when talking to them?

In Leeds you start at 12's and move up. To be fair the hardest part of the game is making the kids listen to you and not the e that their parents are shouting on the sidelines

. If you can do that you should always control a game. Also you will learn that the majority of mothers dont have a clue what is going on. A hard tackle in the ribs is a penalty to them

if youre willing to take a bung here or there then id suggest you give it a shot
