I think it's just standard operating procedure upon a club going into admin. In itself it doesn't give any clue about whether the RFL will go down the 12 point deduction or relegation routes. In this cavalcade of woe this isn't actually anything I feel all that worried about.

Having been through this type of 'saga' as a Trinity supporter it's not good at all.
I don't think anyone should take any enjoyment from it, all clubs have an element of idiotic support but the minority
never reflect the majority.

Bulls fans have my sympathy for once again being in this sickening position.

I feel for the fans, for the employees, and especially for the businesses who are going to lose money, but I have no sympathy for the club. You cut your cloth accordingly, and Bradford just haven't done that, they've been mismanaged and overspent/underachieved for several years and this has come and bitten them AGAIN!

I completely understand why your average neutral would think the best thing to do is to drop down to CH1 and rebuild slowly over a few years.

The complicating factor is the cost of being at Odsal. It isn't affordable at championship level to play there, and at CH1 even worse. Again, people will suggest we play at Valley Parade, but the rent there is also astronomical and the pitch size doesn't meet the criteria for RL (we were given dispensation during our temporary stay a few years ago), nor can it be extended.

Short of getting a very wealthy owner, and let's face it that's looking incredibly unlikely, it is increasingly difficult to see a path to a sustainable Bradford club. I tweeted the burgess breeding colony in Australia to ask if they could source any new wealth in Oz, but mysteriously they haven't replied to me yet.

That's the truth of the matter.

Indeed, the millstone that is Odsal is a crippling factor for a start.

But then the R.F.L. come up with punitive measures to punish the club, i.e points deductions.

I just don't see it as a deterrent just a punishment for the failings of the last regime.

If say, if I was to buy the club for next to nothing & a couple of years down the line the wolves were at the door, the last thing I would care about would be the threat of a points deduction. So I just walk away like so many others have done, yet the club gets punished again ad infinitum until oblivion.

Time for a new plan me thinks.

I remember some bulls fan, no doubt from Huddersfield, telling me while showering me in spit that his super club wouldn't be playing our little ty scam of a club for much longer, he was certainly right about that, I reckon he has long since jumped that particular shipwreck , karma works sometimes

However that doesn't hide the fact that I do have genuine sympathy for the decent Bradford fans and employee's of the club, and for those people I hope they come through it.
As for the karma stuff, we've been in more mire than most fans can imagine, so I have no qualms about feeling a tad smug at those who pulled us to pieces

Maybe Bradford could take over another team and sack all their players, sorry, merge with another team to ensure their survival? Wonder if any "scam of a club" have ever done that before?

I have never seen that at a Rugby game, let alone a Bradford one. I'm definitely not saying it didn't happen but it sounds pretty odd to me. Maybe it was the same lunatic who broke Daz and spat at Meast.

Don't get this about Bratfut fans. I've always found them a friendly bunch. Yeah, they had a lot of bandwagon jumpers, but which team doesn't?

At the end of the day, if Bratfut can go under, any club can. We should all be concerned. Right now, we at FC have someone in charge who appears to know how to run a club. What about when he goes? What if we struggle, crowds go down, income goes down, suddenly we've got financial issues? What if Leeds run out of cash with a half-finished South stand? What if Wigan Athletic get new owners who don't like rugby and make their lives hard?

Agree with that. Which is why we have to get clubs to where they are in a less precarious position. Then they can't start to reap the benefits of long term planning and investment rather than lurching from 1 short term move to the next.

Unfortunately the sport is still recovering from when the clubs decided to sell all their assets.

I always found the Bulls fans to be a decent bunch. Certainly preferable to the arrogance of some of the Giants fans whenever they visited Belle Vue, which seemed to be entirely down to them being given an atmosphere-less bowl free of charge and liked to sneer at Wakefield because we haven't.

There is no doubt that the league benefits from a strong Bradford Bulls, and it's a good lesson to everyone that no one is immune from a fast sink to the bottom. They are potentially taking another drop downwards, but I bet they will be back in the top flight and successful within a decade.

It's always amusing when people encounter one fan of one club - and immediately transfer that person's behaviour to the entire supporter base; and use it to justify their attitude towards that club. And when I say amusing, I obviously mean it in a supercilious, condescending way - typical Wakey fan.

I find it difficult to do such a thing. You are my point, a wakefield fan who is well versed and obviously educated.
