| Anfield - Stanley Park as the fan zone area.
That's my prediction anyway.
However, if they do host it in Newcastle, i'd suggest throwing a Gateshead game on first, see if they can drum up a bit of interest, especially seeing as they've just been taken over by the Falcons owner.

40,000 sell out on Leeds day and play the BIG fixtures the other day, eg Leeds v Wigan on Sunday with Cats v London and Widnes v Salford, Saturday Saints v Wire, Hull v Hull kr Cas v Wakey and Bradford v Huddersfield
That would create a surge for tickets imo with demand outstripping supply.'"
I don't think you'll need to worry about London and Bradford. They'll be playing at Blackpool.

| I personally think this could lead to the death of the MW. The timing with the Etihad expansion is really unfortunate as I think the event had found its home. Moving yet again, along with the insistance to keep it as an additional fixture, will disillusion a lot of fans IMO. I don't miss many games but I honestly can't see me and my group bothering to travel to any of the 4 shortlisted cities to watch us play a team we will play at least 4 times over the course of the season.

| Don't see the drama, the attendances were fine in Cardiff and Edinburgh so why not same again as a stop gap. I know RL fans like to moan but seriously the RFL can't stop the building work at the Etihad.
Coventry seems a bit leftfield though, not big enough and the city wont be attractive for a weekend visit.
Newcastle would be a good laugh.

| Whatever happened to expansion and spreading the game to new areas (especially on the back of the World Cup).
Why no try and increase interest in Wales o London.
It has been done before but getting folk interested in the game from outside the M62 is good for the game.

| Coventry is actually easy for everyone.
Northwest is M6
West Yorkshire M1, M69
East Yorkshire M62, M18, M1, M69
All quite straight forward, modern stadium, things to do outside.

| Is there anything to do around Coventrys ground?
I'd be happy with Newcastle tbh. It's a good night out and the stadium is ideally located. It would certainly be a good weekend.

| Newcastle is the ideal choice, slap bang in the middle of one of the biggest party city's, and not far up from the M62.
also as the ground has several tiers, it'd be quite easy to sell the bottom tiers first and make it look full.

| If it has to be before the split then going to a town with an expansionist Championship club makes sense, so Coventry and Newcastle both make sense
Ideally they should make it a three day event after the leagues split (a day each for SL1, SL2 and the Championship). It would give us another club rugby free week in the year and take away the imbalance in home and away fixture after the split.

I've been banging that drum since the split leagues idea was first proposed, but the RFL seem adament that the MW will be an additional, 23rd pre-split fixture. The one potential downside of a post-split MW is the fixtures couldn't be sorted until the last minute, but I think that's better than an extra fixture which could play an important role in deciding relegation places.

The Hull clubs have had to trek to Cardiff for a few years, so its only fair we get something closer to home. With Rovers having links with Gateshead and HullFC ahem having Geordie err heritage it'll be like a home from home!

| Surely it has to be Coventry, Newcastle might be good for a up but Coventry has the better stadium for what we want as RL fans and is centrally located for pretty much all the teams and is accessible by road extremely easily.
