| Sounds like Shudds are having a nightmare pre-season as , according to League Express, they will be missing George King (ankle), Adam Clune (thigh), Tui Lolohea (thigh), Zac Woolford (ankle) and Leroy Cudjoe (finger) for the start of the season plus Taane Milne is going home for the birth of his child !!
Shame we don't play them in the first few weeks

| Seems Salford just do as they please.
Not bothering to turn up to a meeting with other clubs just so they protect players (though that could be so they don’t have to sell players)I read on a SM article earlier.
Can’t imagine other SL clubs or RFL are impressed with Salford lately. Especially after granting funds with what seemed like conditions.

I kinda agree but they have no role to play in the meeting so might as well let them get on with it.
But if it was me, I'd go.

Perhaps they didn’t really have a role to play. But I don’t suspect it will matter what the other 11 clubs discuss. Salford may well just do as they please regardless.
I would go out of principle considering those 11 clubs less than a month ago agreed to help advance funds to keep the club trading.

| It's in the best interests of everyone that Salford sort this out, whatever people think about them living off money they don't have.

| I see a number of Leeds Rhinos fans on socials have already written the round 1 game as an easy win for them set in stone.
Can’t think of a more entitled and delusional base. Some fans still living in the era where they were finishing top half of table.
That’s why I hate Leeds more than Cas. Hope we pan them.

I can see why Leeds fans will be confident, and to be fair they should win this game and do well this year. However sport is full of upsets and if we are on our game we may ruffle some feathers. Under-estimation will be our friend this season.

Haven’t they missed the playoffs and finished 8th 2 years running? I could understand some confidence but when it’s beyond doubt and that they can see easy wins it doesn’t really match their performances last few seasons. I just don’t see it.
They are at home and should be favourites but if we are expecting and aiming for the 6-9 bracket then Leeds will likely be in that same bracket. I wouldn’t call it an upset with the expectation the club and fans have to beat the 8th best team in SL.
Under estimation though as you said could really help us this season in some game preparations.
Wish the season would hurry up and start. Ready for it now.

The difference at Leeds is the coach.
They are bound to perform better under him.
We have a very hard first four games.
Although it's possible we can win them all the odds are against us. It will take some time for us to adjust to Super League.
But of all those 4 games, I see this as our best chance.

Perhaps they will, we will have to see. I suppose making playoffs this year would be a success for them.
We do have a hard first 4 games but I’m fine with us having some tough fixtures to start. It will certainly give us an indicative level for where we need to be at. Sometimes good to catch clubs that haven’t hit their strides just yet.

Maybe Hudds who have had a terrible pre season. They’ve been beaten by a fev side with players playing out of position and only 3 subs and had a lot of first teamers in. Hudds were horrible dnd of last season and it looks like they’ll struggle this year too

| Yer let's not count our chickens.
A couple of injuries in key positions and it could change our whole season.

Catalans Dragons had six missing through either injury or suspension for their warm up game against Toulouse. They lost both their centres to injury during the match, which they won 42-10,
leaving them a bit on the short side for their Challenge Cup game against Halifax this weekend

Think they’ll struggle even with their spine back. Clune played in the reserve grades for years before he sort of found himself in Newcastle’s lineup because of injuries, and now Giants have pinned their hopes on him. Lolohea’s capable of great moments, and also of going missing. They don’t have a fullback. And now they’ve brought in Burgess - an ageing impact sub - on huge money to carry their pack now Hill’s gone.
I can imagine Fev were good value for that scoreline.
A bad run of injuries could hit us, but we have some really able cover compared to Hudds, Cas, Salford and even Leigh.

| Keep hearing Miller is on his way to Hudds, I wouldn't be surprised to see it to be honest. Although he's not the player he was, think he'd still be a half decent option to cover to injuries for them.

Lolohea is a strange one isn't he, capable of being a brilliant player on his day but he almost seems a little bit lazy, which you just can't get away with no matter how good you are.
