i am a london Boncos fan who came to the game in 2002 and Like Marwan at salford, I am both amazed and disgusted at the level of incompetence in the running of what is a fantastic sport. Because I don't subscribe to the belief that EVERYTHING IS UNIONS FAULT or that I don't believe that THERE IS A MEDIA CONSPIRACY TO KEEP THE GAME DOWN doesnt make me any less of a fan, just a realist. Unlike others on here, I freely admit when i am mistaken, but the majority of the time i am right. The game is run by idiots, which in itself is reason enough for the media to ignore us, as do the major sponsors, but it is also played at the top level along one friggin" road......it's as regional as curling for christs sake and whilst fat Nige and the boys spend more tie protecting their own positions by pandering to pit village club chairman, the OTHER game continues to grow and learn from its mistakes. Their new Europ comp TV deal makes our sky contract look like loo roll.

as for Churchy here.....he paid money to watch something he doesn't like. Me being negative about the game pales into insignificance beside his wayward subscription.

Union has strengths, and a great deal of media control, but League has many strengths and like any well run business we should be focusing on those, creating USP's and selling them to people who will benefit from the partnership.
Unfortunately we have too many posters who rely on the state for an income and are clueless in the commercial world, I say that with a wife as a teacher btw

The rfl are incompetent and we can only dream of the day that they are 1% as competent as the RFU/IRB.
As for the look at me comment? What the feck?.....its a forum, discussing in this instance a player who has crossed the floor so union is ti be expected to be discussed, same way that the ticketing for the nz tour is being discussed in another with direct reference to said incompetence of the rfl.

He certainly doesn't mean tough as in big hits. He means tough to learn a new sport, same as if he'd gone to play squash or cricket or foorball.

It's not technically complicated. There are more roles in the team but you only have to learn one and there are more rules but they are not impossible to grasp. Plenty of lesser sportsmen have mastered the game before Burgess joined.

Think he meant he is finding it tough to be arsked when your so bored!

Sam scored his first Union try in a 9-try thriller as Bath beat Wasps 39-26, and by all accounts Sam was enjoying himself. Good luck to him.

Sam seems to be happy so it can't be that bad, and when he sees at first hand all the history, tradition and crowds etc that the 6 Nations offers, i wager he'll double his efforts to impress Stuart Lancaster.

Sam Burgess was man of the match and scored a try in just his 5th game and having completed something like 400 minutes of kick n clap, his Rugby League skills are killing it in the inferior game of Rugby Onion.

Of course he's enjoying himself, the fools are paying him a million a season to do 20% of what he normally does on a Rugby field.

He's going to walk into one of the England centre positions, play in the Onion World Cup then go back to playing real Rugby at South Sydney a rich man.
