Isn’t every arm stiff when making a tackle? Be a bit of rubbish tackle otherwise.
I could have understood a yellow card for Crosby, as happened to Morgan Knowles in the cup semi final last week, but a red would be harsh. Otherwise every high tackle would be a red card.

| There are plenty of high tackles that are a bit of a grab, but an RL player knows when he's leading with his arm straight out that he's trying to hurt the opposition player. If that's at head height and he connects then it's a red card offence imo. Still feel it was soft by the officials.

Jeez you’re really digging a hole, it was a penalty nothing more, there are probably a couple or 3 tackles most games like that. Lets face it if it was not leeds you would not be still rattling on snout it.

Yes there are but every tackle leads with the arm and shoulder. Every player going into a tackle wants to hurt the opposition. That’s the aim of the tackle. Which is why it’s important players don’t hit high because they’re going into a tackle with a lot of intent. However I don’t think we can red card every instance of a player getting it wrong. Personally I thought it should have been a yellow card, as with the Knowles incident.
We have a sin bin yet it’s underused in my opinion.
I’d also take note of Unions approach of potentially lowering the height of high tackles to the arm pit. I think that’d be interesting in RL, would it enable more offloading and potentially a game that’s better to watch?

| Toulouse are only two big Antipodean props and one good centre short of Super League standard.
The halves Jonathan Ford and Stan Robin are outstanding, and full back Mark Kheirallah is very good.
The management and coach of Toulouse should consult with Trent Robinson who used to play and coach Toulouse.

Widnes is definitely short of Super League standard and both Salford and Hull KR might be.
Toronto and either London or Toulouse will finish above Widnes. I foresee Toronto finishing 2nd or 3rd and London and Toulouse in the MPG.
Time will tell.

They Lost, to the side with the 2nd worst run of form in SL and they lost heavily being outscored 9 tries to 4 with 2 of their tries coming at the death of the first half and their last with 4 minutes to go.....they will struggle against Toronto Salford and HKR and stand the best chance of points v Fax this weekend......if they lose to fax then I expect "nil point" and rock bottom last....but yeah, let's promote them because they're "entertaining"....

| Or you could say they played entertaining rugby and were competitive with the 2017 Super League Champions and Super League’s most successful side, been only 1 score down at half time.
I expect Toulouse to beat Halifax, who I think will finish on 0 points. All games between Toulouse, Toronto, Widnes, Salford and Hull Kr will be too tight to call and could go either way.

I’m not about Toronto yet based on Paul Rowley. This is his first crack at the Qualifiers since 2015 when he was expected to challenge with Leigh but they flopped big time. Made tough work of Halifax

If both Catalans Dragons and Toulouse Olympique were in Super League, for the local derby I would expect 11,000 + in Perpignan and 14-15,000 in Toulouse.

...and what's that got to do with the price of cheese in Kazakhstan? The Shay had a sellout crowd into 5 figures for Tonga vs Italy, but that doesn't translate into similar numbers when Fax play our local rivals, London. They're over 200km apart, which is give or take what West Yorkshire is from London. Cats get decent crowds, but Toulouse?

No. They can play in the existing Ernest-Wallon stadium in Toulouse, used by rugby union, which has a capacity of 19,500. That stadium was used by Catalans against Hull KR in 2013, and the match was a sellout. It was also used for French rugby league Test matches. I attended one there -- France vs New Zealand -- many years ago, when Maxime Greseque was France's half back.

What? A whole 2000? How many of those are Leeds fans? To be honest, thats not bad going for London. You might be right about your chances, but Leeds are still there for the taking if you get a roll on.

Your assessment of Widnes is a widely held belief although they've escaped before. Salford are actually likely to be top of the group. Leeds scraped by Toulouse at home so hard to tell. Same with us. Outmuscled by probably the top team in the m8s.
The game on Saturday is arguably bigger for Toronto than us - they've been talked up by everyone for two years and its time to prove it. If we lose then it'll be nothing more than the expansionists want and if they lose it'll be 'expected' because we're the SL team. We'll get no cries of it being a great victory. The attention from none KR fans will be on Toronto.
For Rovers fans its just a vital SL survival game that happens to be played in another continent, the opposition is largely unimportant.
