Very ordinary, at best, when at Leigh - although he looked good for Bradford, when playing against Leigh last season! Good luck to him - can never begrudge a player a shot at SL.

He's decent for cover though and i think that's all he's been signed for.

I’d love someone to put a list together of players who’s profiles are very high but who’s input is surprisingly low. I accept that in some cases it’s serious injuries ie Tom Johnstone but I bet there are a few who you wonder about.

At trinity we haven’t had many but I suspect that’s mainly down to the fact that most of the players we sign don’t have profiles!

What I’m after is those players who have a ten plus year career span yet there appearance only just reach three figures, less in some cases.

The Leigh chairman is claiming he almost signed Ben Barba, Jackson Hastings and Jarryd Hayne last season.

1) Mike Latham is chairman....he didn't claim anything
2) Derek Beaumont tried to sign Ben Barba pre-season, and Hastings towards the end which is correct, for last season
3) Beaumont also tried to sign Jarryd Hayne for the 'middle 8's' in 2016, but he would have only been available for 4 of the games, so it came to nothing.

Players told no Toronto talk

Super League players were briefed to stay neutral on the Toronto Wolfpack situation at the play-off media event on Monday.

Players appearing on TV cameras and on national radio were told to say they had no opinion either way on whether Toronto would be a good addition to the top flight, and offer no comment on whether they would like to play an away game there. They were also briefed to big up the Grand Final experience, amongst other things.

Our pack situation is temporary with all injured players well on the way back. The backs issues look more long term to me.

We've also had our pack decimated by injuries but don't seem active in bringing anyone else in.

Hmm we have rocky/kershaw to cover wings and Atkins/Arundel/croft to cover centre. Lyne or bill can play wing if needed too
