You're entitled to that opinion, but for me the challenge itself was no worse than many others, such as one of Adrian Morley's infamous shoulder charges, attacking someone to the head as he did Harrison Hansen. The only difference in this case is the actual damage done.

It was reckless, dangerous and he was looking for a big shot, but I don't see he intended to cause the actual damage caused.

No, it isn't. The RFL have one opinion from what they have seen. Many fans have a different one. I'm sure a certain winger with a plate in his jaw has his own too. The RFL have a binding opinion in relation to punishment, but it is only that, an opinion, as is everyone else's.

Personally, I couldn't tell. It might be that his arm came up in the act of shoulder-charging, like a rebound, and that is how it connected with the jaw.

Assuming you can still count U20 games when there are no 1st team games he'll probably only actually miss 2 1st team games since Cas have free weekend coming up.....

yes... because Morley kept his arm down by his side and hit him with the shoulder... Chase brought the elbow up into the face and shattered his opponents jaw.... but yea apart from that they were identical.

I'd like to think he knows that Chase didn't mean it and that it was an unfortunate accident. If what some people are saying is true and Chase has gone to see him today then they will have cleared the air and if Ropati can see it the way the RFL did as reckless then the people on here should too.

Although I do still think someone should have a word with him about how he attempts the shoulder charges or he gets a new method coached into him.

I would disagree with that. Moz extended his arm and leveled HH with the outside of his shoulder. It was a cracking hit and i agree it was not in the same league as what Chase did.

Eye gouging is only a 4 game ban in RL, that's the worst one.
