Why does it have to be music as the entertainment, why not a magician or a comedian?

Edwin Starr once performed at the Challenge Cup Final. I doubt the RFL could ever get anyone better than that.

I saw them a couple of years ago and they're . They started off with one of the classics an then insisted on playing their new stuff after that. No one wants to hear that do they. They want te classics. I left early.

It's not a gig, they will only get 2 maybe 3 songs out.

They did the same when I last watched them, I imagine they will play the classics for this 'gig' though.

The AFL just had their GF. They offered $1M to Robbie Williams but he turned them down, so they got Tom Jones and he proceeded to refer to their game as rugby and called an ex-player-turned-commentator a d---head on live tv.

I like James. One of the few bands of that era I regret missing seeing live. Certainly prefer them to Def Leppard, who I did see twice, and would be even further past their use by date than James by now.

No idea why people are whinging, James are a cracking band and do a great live set. Think I'll actually get to the stadium early for once!

Comes down to musical taste for some people. Others might feel underwhelmed. Personally for me, James isn't the best band and wouldn't come into my top ten, but certainly the RFL could've done a hell of a lot worse, Def Leppard for example.

Who actually cares what the H/T entertainment is?? If your teams wins or loses, do you wish you'd seen a better half time act??

Surely there is only time to queue for a pee, pie and a pint at halftime!

I've got fond memories of Diana Ross in that car at Wembley!
I'd love AC/DC to do the Cup Final and Grand Final!
Then SuperLeague should double the ticket prices and give folks something to moan about, paying the proper price for a big event.

Pretty pleased with James, plenty of good tunes and a couple of belters if they stick to the 'Greatest Hits' stuff.

My ideal band would be the Quo for an event like this.
