| Leigh and Wigan
1920's miners strike, 1974 bough split etc etc.
In the 80's, it really was venomous!

| Factually in sport there is only one true derby and that's Wigan-St Helens which was organised by the Earl of Derby. Dony know when, ages ago though!
Personally I hate Wigan as a Leyther, and the most violence i've ever seen in a game was at a Leigh East-Leigh Miners game.
If I had a choice of one to go to it would be the Hull derby, i've never had the fortune to see one and they are brutal ont' telly.
In oz id love to see North Queensland-Brisbane at the Dairyfarmers.

| If you're a warrington fan your biggest rivalry is Wigan. It used to be St Helens but youve given up trying to beat us, so now its wigan out of jealousy.

Without question the most deluded comment from a Cas fan ever and that is saying something. Your supposed rivalry with Leeds is similar to the one Leeds United fans think they have with Man United - a one way figment of your imagination. Man United fans seem blissfully unaware they have any rivalry with Leeds!
You can only have a rivalry if both clubs see it the same way - sorry to burst your ballon but Leeds fans don't - for most of them it's Cas who?
Feel free to kid yourself if it makes you feel better but your real rivals are Wakey and to a lesser extent Fev - your not a big enough threat to bother Leeds and you never were.
Leeds fans want to see their team beat Bradford, Saints and Wigan, with Bradford being their derby game.
As a matter of interest who are these successful neighbours, I believe Fev have won a title and the cup, we have won the title twice and the cup five times, don't recall you winning the title so I can only assume you are talking about Fev

I would love for Leigh to have a proper rivalry with Wigan again.
It's been good to see Warrington step up their game over the last 5 years and give us a good, intense rivalry too. It's been a while since Wigan and Warrington created an atmosphere like the one at the HJ last Saturday.

Me Too. A competitive Wigan vs Leigh game would be epic IMO. I think the Wigan Saints derbies over the past few years have waned due to our recent form against them. Hopefully this year with us on the up we can get back to the Derbies of old.

| The Quins-Drags match despite its artificial contruct is nevertheless always a violent affair. If you look at the stats more players have been sent off in this game than in any other in the last few years. Quins fans do regard this as the Derby match as they are the easiest opponents to get to, just hop on a plane and you are there in no time.

Yes I did and didn't really notice it to be honest.
Although now totally committed to RL and Wakey I was once a genuine Red. Started watching the season Docherty got us promoted back to the old first division and attended fairly often til about 1994 when I lost all interest in football.
In that time Leeds were of no real interest, the one that mattered was Liverpool and it's still the one that really counts, pure hatred. After that came Chelsea, Arsenal and City. Sorry

Plastic Reds - retired ones at that - are not a reliable source of information.

| Coming from Hull, it can only be Hull v Rovers for me.
What about in Australia? I went to Titans v Broncos at Skilled Park in 2008 and that seemed pretty fiery even though the Titans were only 2 or 3 years old. Others in Oz I think are Roosters v Souths, Sharks v Dragons, Eels v Panthers, although i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.............oh, and NSW v Queensland!!
