| I am hoping the NZ team are staying at same hotel in Leeds city centre as last weekend. Had breakfast with them and a long chat with Stephen Kearney once the players except Tommy went off for a mornings training, fantastic start to saturday morning

Had breakfast with them I saw Jason Robinson in Argos the other week, but I wouldn't say I went shopping with him and his misses.

I would imagine they have rounded up the last of the tickets that Man U, and other re-sellers/travel companies had an put them on sale.

The bar needs to be raised every single time. This should be the attitude for every world cup in the coming decades.

they had around 1000 seats in the corners returned some corporate deal. Really can't wait for the final. Think it's going to be a brilliant occasion even if England aren't there.

| Yeh heard that on five live yesterday morning that they had put some corporate tickets on sale to the general public instead.
Not sure if they were intended to be freebies or give away's for corporate competitions. But sounded like it was a reallocation of allocated tickets.

| New Zealand have always challenged Australia in Finals, and beaten them in at least two of those.
Now New Zealand have a better team than before, with an exciting spine --- Shaun Johnson and Kieran Foran as the halves, Isaac Luke as hooker, and Josh Hoffman at full back --- plus a huge pack with the X-factor of Sonny Bill Williams. And I might add a sensational new winger in Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, paired with Manu "The Beast" Vatuvei on the other wing.
So even if England is not at the final, Australia vs New Zealand would be an absolute cracker of a final, with high quality defence that will be as good as State of Origin, and perhaps more brilliant attacking moves than SoO.
But meanwhile everyone should get to Wembley to see England try to beat New Zealand, because that game will be a cracker as well.
These kinds of games don't come around every year. Sonny Bill won't be in rugby league in 2015 and 2016. Once in a lifetime games!

| Totally agree, this is arguably the best Australian backline ever and will be the last time they will play in a world cup. Something any self respecting RL fan would be mad to miss out on.
Likewise NZ though I predict they will be even stronger over the next few years as these young stars mature
England, best pack for many a year and a real chance of causing two upsets to lift the trophy if we can get over our inferiority complex.
Both the semi and final will be crackers.

The current Australia backline is nowhere near the best ever

| Do we really think that Tate, Morris and Boyd are anywhere near the same class as players such as Grothe, Meninga and Rogers who played together in 1982. Oh, and just in case the half backs tip the scales in the direction of the current team the half backs in 1982 were Brett Kenny and Peter Sterling who weren’t too shabby
Moving forward from ’82 there are many Australian players who were better than the current backline… only Slater and Inglis would have a look in at trying to get into the great Kangaroo teams of the last 40 years. The fawning over this current average (and for that matter NZ) team is incredible

| Just got three seats together in a central area behind the goals for the final after a week or so of trying to get any! What's behind the idea of saying sold out when it really isn't ?

| If you have non available its sold if some are returned you have some to sell again
We do seem to make a pigs ear of this though with the best seats empty in the middle of a camera shot whilst fans decide against making a journey due to only poor seats left

First time i find myself agreeing with all of your post. However, your love in with certain players, partcularly Tuivasa-Sheck is a becoming a concern.

There is a hospitality area behind one of the goals, so I presume they have released these to general sale.

Well the SS and CT have sold out along with most of the paddock in the North stand.
So that's at least 10k but less than 20k

You have been listening to Phil Gould to much - he seems to think SOO is played by super-humans - the defence in SOO is no more intense than you see in games in the NRL between the top sides. Many of the world's best players are ineligible for SOO e.g. SBW so the concept that it is the next best thing to a test match is flawed.
