He's been the most consistently good centre in the super league era. Lyon and Gleeson have been better at times but not cosistantly (all be it Lyon left). He should only get accolades, and sympathy if his career has ended - despite anyone's club allegiance. He's also always been good for GB/England as well.

Did he blame it on the GB doctor like Cunningham did when he tested positive for a banned substance?

I only remember the Cunningham incident, can't remember Senior being done for banned substances?

Gareth Hock gets a 2 year ban for testing positive for a non performance enhancing drug, yet senior gets a £1500 fine for the performance enhancing drug because he said it was used for an illness. Seems a bit weird to me.

I hope that Senior comes back.

You also missed the bit about Senior declaring the cold medication he had taken to the testers prior to giving his sample, as Ryan Bailey did at the same time.

I'll leave the tery of drawing a direct comparison in terms of wrongdoing between taking Sudafed and taking cocaine, and the WADA guidelines on punishment for testing positive for each for someone else with more time and inclination to deal with.

Righto, best thing for any player who wishes to take performance enhancing drugs is to call it s cold medicine and declare it before being tested.

I can see how UK Sport would be fooled into thinking that someone had metabolytes of cocaine in their system through taking Buttercup Syrup.

Move to Widnes would be his best option of playing superleague next season. Can't see Leeds giving him a new deal.

He had Ephedrine in his system, we all know that people take this as a stand alone drug whilst training/playing sports to increase stamina, power and alertness.

I am sure he was taking it for a little cough he had, not as he thought he get away with it. It just so happened at the same time the RL greatly increased their testing regime!

Brilliant. A modern day rugby legend possibly career ended and some haveto try and make him out to be a drug cheat. I assume you k ow all the inside details and that the drug was not actually from his medicine for cold?

It is also the main component of MANY cough and cold remedies i believe it is the one that dries you up and stops your nose running

...whilst the narcotic of Hocks choice has been know to make your nose run........or so I am told.

You're right though about Senior, in the last 10 years or so he's been good but most of that was based on being 12 foot tall, ugly and mean. It's a good job Ryan Hall is something of a student, cos he's continually having to use his well educated brain to suss out just exactly what Senior is going to do next.

Having said that, for the past 3 or 4 years Senior has been the best of a bad bunch (apart from Gleeson) at centre.
