There appeared to be many seats in the golf stand not occupied. Despite the number of Hull fans in there I was under the impression this was a "rovers " stand?

I cannot be ar$ed if they come or not to be honest, they are entitled to spend their money how they want, just don't keep going on about 'in any kind of weather'
Like most RL fans, I follow my team to give them support, it doesn't matter if its in a nice shiny new stadium or the terraces on a cold wet night at Headingley and the other excuse about 'not giving Rovers their hard earned cash' is also bull$hit, no Rovers fan wants FC to benefit from their 'hard earned cash', but as supporters it comes down to giving the lads your unconditional support. The supporter of the previous FC club would not have bothered, they would have turned up in a hurricane, but this lot of 'newbies' are a different breed.'"
But on a wet night at Headingley, you can still see the pitch
For the record, yesterday was the first derby I have missed since becoming a Hull fan in the early '80s.
The reason I missed the game was due to Sky changing the date of the fixture. I would have paid the £17 (or what ever it was this time around), despite it being the worst view of any sporting venue I have ever attended.
personally I think the pricing policy just goes to show what a small minded attitude the CEO / Chairman of hkr has.

Remind me how many you were getting four or five years ago.
Less than 9,000 Rovers fans turned up for a home derby, which is pretty pathetic, isn't it?

| I love the way Hull KR fans question "loyalty" of the Hull FC supporters!
I can remember going to Craven Park when you struggled to get 1000 there. Now your averaging 8000+ crowds?
Where were those loyal supporters back then???

| Rovers will take at least 4 times the amount Hull brought last night to Richard Horne's testimonial game next year.
That puts it into context.

I bet you can recall trips to the Boulevard to see crowds of 3,000, yet Hull now boast a 13,000+ average.
Where were their "loyal" fans pre-KC?

| Quote ="Ian P"Did you actually read the whole thread or just bits of it ?
The majority stayed away because of the price YOUR club charged us to attend. KR fans coming to the KC get the whole North stand which seats around 4k and they pay the same as those in the opposite south stand. Every club that has visited Craven park has been charged £10 for that "stand" except one , FC
'"
If only the South Stand had space on the day I'd keep my mouth well buttoned, I agree that it is rubbish, as is the pricing policy, and I might choose to watch on Sky rather than stand there myself (only might mind, I've watched Rovers from worse spots...)
But there were probably 500+ free seats in the North Stand - so why didn't all these loyal Hull fans buy those? I've only managed to get an "away area" ticket for one KC derby so far, but I've watched every single other one from the West Upper, which was a mixed area and I bought my tickets direct from FC. If that had been full I would even have "braved" the North East corner if needs be. The difference is what exactly?
The only explanation for our North Stand tickets not being bought by FC fans was because they didn't care enough to support their team. The view is no worse than FC's own North Stand, so don't give me any of that quality of facilities nonsense. Sure, it ain't got a roof but then neither has the West Terrace at Leeds, or most of Odsal. Bottom line? FC fans don't support their team when they're near the bottom of the table. Well done!
Owned.

Hmm, where were these 5 figures on Saturday?
FC had bigger gates than Rovers in the 70's and 80's, since when we've spent the best part of two decades out of the top flight, and guess what we still have a smaller home support than you. So what? We are discussing whether FC fans support their team PASSIONATELY enough to come to a derby when near the bottom of the table, and expected to lose.
The Golf Stand seats answer that question. Thanks

No s**t, well I never!
I kinda reckoned, that if you had managed to attend Craven Park in the National Leagues, perhaps you also managed to follow your side to Hull for a SL fixture. Is that not something Huddersfield fans occasionally do? With or without skateboard!

All hail the magnificent HKR and their loyal supporters.
ATEOTD we get over 10,000 every week at home and take decent numbers most weeks away. Over 1000 went to Cas to watch us get caned. With two shocking seasons after a period of relative success I'm quite happy with our crowd levels at present. I really don't see how a few hundred Hull supporters not going to derby game makes us poor fans. Frankly I think it's quite understandable.
