| every post from you is totally lob sided towards your own personal agenda, i haven't seen you once analyze media days, adverts or promos between the last few season to see if the RFL or clubs are being more proactive in trying to draw larger crowds. instead of trying to compare in comparable date each week why don't you wait till the end of the season and then compare like for like. Better yet why don't you go and study for a marketing and business analyze degree and actually become proactive within the RFL, as your obviously so worried.

How can that be so when I've posted every SL attendance this season whether it be up or down when compared to last year's attendance for the same SL fixture?
Quote ="dubairl"i haven't seen you once analyze media days, adverts or promos between the last few season to see if the RFL or clubs are being more proactive in trying to draw larger crowds.'"
I'll stick to providing data on SL attendances thanks. However, you are more than welcome to provide such analysis. I'd certainly be interested in it as I'm sure others would.
Quote ="dubairl"instead of trying to compare in comparable date each week'"
I don't do that but that's what the RFL did do... they compared SL attendance totals by each round. Well, they were doing that until their conspicuous silence on the topic of SL attendances this season. I compare the attendances for each SL game irrespective of what date or round they are played.
Quote ="dubairl"why don't you wait till the end of the season and then compare like for like.'"
Could you define like-for-like? And why wait until the end of the season?
Quote ="dubairl"Better yet why don't you go and study for a marketing and business analyze degree and actually become proactive within the RFL, as your obviously so worried.'"
Never confuse interest with worry. You've now got me all worried over you worrying about something you claim nobody should be getting worried about until they've waited until the end of the season to start worrying.

| Ah,I see sad, lonely Billy Boy is back, with his only friend,a calculator. What excitement do you have planned for the weekend Billy Boy? Silly question, just you,a calculator and half a bitter,if your Benefits cheque will stretch that far.Get a life Billy Boy,there's a whole world out there but at least you give the rest of us a laugh.
Three great games last night, enjoyed by all, except Billy Boy even his calculator got excited.

Correct.

Probably worth bearing in mind that the 2013 attendance of 3,041 was 20.85% down on the 2011 attendance which was 3,842. The attendances in 2010 and 2009 were 3,211 and 3,206 respectively.

Down by 24.10% according to my calculations.
London total attendance from 10 SL games in 2013 = 22,306
London total attendance from same fixtures last year = 29,388

Yes, but are you comparing like-for-like threads? Because last years attendance thread was chocka full of increased attendances and lots of positives which everyone was seemingly interested in. This also gave rise to gushing praise from all quarters for the splendidly excellent work of the RFL. When it comes to opinion on attendances this season, the likes of Ferocious Aardvark and others appear to have gone missing this season along with the RFL

[uSL Round 18 attendances - comparison to same fixtures last year[/u
London V Warrington in 2013 = 3,041
London V Warrington in 2012 = 2,261
% increase = +34.50%
Catalan V Hull in 2013 = 8,105
Catalan V Hull in 2012 = 7,388
% increase = +9.70%
3 out of 5 SL fixtures this round have shown an increase in attendance compared to the same fixtures played last year.
With 2 fixtures remaining, Round 18 is threatening to become the first round since way back in Round 1 itself to register a total attendance which is an increase on last year. The 5 fixtures played this weekend so far have attracted an attendance of 41,672 which is a 2.20% increase on last years attendance for the same fixtures.
Have SL attendances this year finally turned the corner as a result of decent weather?
Can RL supporters therefore be classified as fair weather supporters?

| HKR's crowds this year so far are (2012 figure for corresponding fixtures)
Total = 73,833 (78,200) -6%
Not great but we are doing better than the SL avg drop! Hopefully having the North stand available next year will see this reversed, presuming Salford don't buy all our best players!

| During the current franchised, 14 club, top 8 play-off system SL era... the total attendances in SL to date remain the lowest we have ever witnessed. Neither the replacement of the poorly-supported Crusaders with the better-supported Widnes, or the establishment of 2 new stadia, or the re-establishment of heavily-discounted SL tickets have prevented 2013 SL attendances from being the worst on record so far.

Making ill-informed and unjustified judgements of how large a crowd was does not make your argument any more credible. I guessed at 2,000, as would anyone who is not a troll trying to paint a one-sided negative picture of everything in our game.

| Quote ="William Eve"Over 2,000 of them must have been situated in the stand where the main camera was hosted, because there was hardly anyone in the three visible stands on TV.
Arctic wind no doubt too!
'"
There were hundreds in the stand opposite the camera and hundreds in the Salford terrace to the right, plus 1,000 in the big stand behind the cameras. Not a good crowd, but still.

| Guessed the Salford crowd at around 2200 from attending the game, so wasn't far out. William tries this 'less than 1000' act every time Salford are on tv. Not sure why. Bit sad really.

Spot on!
I've spent 10 years defending the indefensible crowds at London and have always said, what they announce as the official crowd should always be taken as such. There is no benefit to a club to fudge gates upwards, as they will be required to pay tax on them.
That said, Salfords crowds are a bit of a worry now...London will fold or drop out of the comp soon, but the Good Dr in Salford has his work cut out for him......a 3k base to build on will take some "'wedge" spent on marketing to get to the 10,000 needed...

The setback with season tickets really killed off their crowds this year, since their fan base ain't that huge to begin with. Their marketing team has a big job for next year.
