think you'll find that was down to the players fella, not the ref. If the players can't control themselves it is they whom are at fault, same as when they knock on, forward pass, be offside, hold down. If players played to the rules and/or didn't make mistakes in each and every single game of RL ever played then the ref wouldn't have to make many decisions.
