Frustrating. Plenty of effort but we had an extra man for 20 minutes and it just feels like de ja vu from the London game. A game we could have won but our own worst enemy. Letting Fev have a 2 try lead before relying on young Doyle to get us a try back. Get back with in touching distance then an silly unforced error kills the comeback before we've started. Really need to tidy up some of the sloppy unforced errors.

Another game where we were in the hunt but couldn't get the upper hand. It's really frustrating that we played a quarter of the game with an extra man and still didn't get anything from the game.

Thomas Doyle has to start the next league game against Oldham. He causes a lot of trouble and looks very dangerous from dummy half.

Really enjoyed the game. To come so close on that pitch with a back row so young and inexperienced was heartening. Tremendous effort with a bench lacking any real experience. I don't think Kear used a sub until 32 minutes.

That said whilst both wingers worked really hard coming out of defence they have to take those chances at this level. I agree on some of the mistakes but overall very positive against a big rough side with lots of SL experience.

Lot of effort on display, but we lack leadership on the field. We blew 3 clear cut tries, and given we only lost by 8 points it's a bitter pill to swallow as both Fev and London were there for the taking.

Turning point was with about 12 mins to go. You'd got back in it and were working the short pass effectively.
Then, as you were working the ball out early in the tackle count the player needlessly tried an unnecessary offload right in front of us. Scrum... try...game.
Under attrocious conditions it was a tough game. Crossley was immense.

Obviously, when we go to adverts on the Pulse, you'll probably hear me talking to the producer so don't panic.

There probably was an element of coulda, shoulda woulda about the day but ultimately I thought our young side acquitted themselves pretty well.

For sure mistakes were made, but experienced pros sometimes do that too and Fev are a good side in this division, let's not forget that. One thing we were definitely unlucky with was the wind/toss - we fought well against a strong wind for virtually an entire half and then, when it was our turn to have the advantage, it dropped. we were definitely under the cosh and Fev kicked us to death in that early period, whilst we were unable to gain any ground at all from the final kicks.

We've lost our first two games by an average of six points against what are definitely two of the best sides in the division so, yeah we're maybe down but definitely not out. Given their ages and the fact that so many are new to the club/first team these two games bode well for the future imo.

The only what if for me is what if the showponies of the Green era had half the heart and fight of these lads, we'd have been back in SL.

They just will not be bullied or take a backwards step....

As for Hallas, he's becoming niggler-in-chief. Where we used to fall for it now it's us doing it...

Taking on a decent Fev team, in those conditions, with everyone of them putting their hands up is enough reason to support and be proud of them at the minute.

It's probably just pressing a button! I assume Mick means it will be exactly the same commentary - but as well as broadcasting it on The Pulse, it is simultaneously being broadcast on the Mixlr app. So I don't think there's going to be a lot of extra work - as I say, just pressing a button to send it to Mixlr

Think thats definitely the case mate. Ilistened to one of the pre season games on mixlr which I didnt realise was on the pulse. Found it strange he kept saying Pulse 2 scoreboard haha
