| Given you lot keep getting worse and spending money you haven’t got. It seems obvious to everyone else that you need more money.
Why don’t you bring back speedway? It’s more money into the club and makes sense.
Unless you don’t want to get out of your terrible situation and back to superleague?
Still when the rugby league pay your wages for you going bust and leaving everyone out of pocket doesn’t matter I suppose.

| A good point raised. I think the club are already on to this. I've heard a rumour from somebody close to the club (lives lrss than half a mile away) that a new Bradford Bulls speedway ( and an academy , reserves and ladies team of course) will be trialled in the near future.
This is all thanks to the RFL who have kindly agreed to fund the venture with a huge cash injection to pay for all the bikes and riders etc. Also, because we have a special relationship with the RFL they have also kindly agreed that any spare money left can be spent on players for the Bulls first team to ensure we gain promotion to the championship.
3 Cheers for the RFL !

| I don't think we give the RFL (or as our brilliant OP suggests '[irugby league[/i',) enough thanks for all the money they have given us. As well as 'rugby league' saving the Bulls I also spent the £5000 they gave me personally for being a Bulls fan on a flash new car.
What did you other Bulls fans spend your gifted rugby league money on?
Thanks for the top tips Wexford Trinity, I'm surprised a clever, influential ideas man such as you appear to be has enough time to write on a lowly Champ 1 teams' message board. Especially after reading some of your other great posts such as "[i...The whole sport is biased against wakefield...[/i" and "[i....Christ almighty are we that desperate we’re pushing women’s rugby now? It’s bad enough we’ve to put up with listening about that Canadian or French dross now women?!?!?!?[/i".
You come over as a open, fair and inspirational man.
But mostly thanks for the money.

| In all seriousness these kind of posts show how well the club is actually doing at the moment. A fear that a club in a stadium in far worse state than ours, who are in need of handouts themselves for a new one are fearful that with talks of changes coming to the structure their place is under threat from a lowly league 1 side in the future

Sort of agree with that to be fair, but the speedway element is way overblown, imo.
Let's put cards on table: in years gone by I used to love watching speedway, both at Odsal and at the Shay - but interest in the sport has waned it would cost far more to re-instate it at Odsal than there is to be made out of it - even if the Southbank wasn't in the way. I've seen speedway on Sky and they get pitiful attendances even for 'big' meetings.

You say that, but you know full well you wrote that on the Apple MacBook Pro the RFL bought you so you could watch live streaming on Proper Sport whilst you were in Dubai as guest of Ralphie Rimmer.

| I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the RFL for funding the new extension on my house. Like a lot of us I'd applied under the guaranteed cash giveaway for all Bradford fans. Their only stipulation was that the new roof had to spell out the word "iconic" for passing planes.
Anyone else tapped into the inexhaustible good will and free money from the RFL?

| They paid for my all expenses trip to Bora Bora with the missus. We had our own jumbo jet painted in Bulls colours with "Iconic Airways" along the side.
Nigel and Ralph served me drinks on the beach for a fortnight.
Great blokes those RFL guys.

| I had thought we were all keeping this quiet and didn't realise that the other Rugby League clubs knew about the RFL Iconic Superfan Fund... I guess now the cats out of the bag I might as well own up to how I [delwasted[/del spent my £3k allocation.
Firstly, I treated myself to a new tattoo... I've never been inked up before so I wanted to think carefully about what to choose; nothing too cheap or tacky. So after a few seconds weighing up the options I opted for the landscape of Mount Rushmore on my lower back, but instead of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln I had the faces of Nigel Wood*, Ralph Rimmer, Brian Barwick and Ian Lenagan, all four being such thoroughly good decent blokes in their own rights... pioneers ahead of their time some may say. I mean who else would have put so much thought and planning into destabilising a well supported and well known club through a series of points deductions and unreasonable funding cuts whilst rewarding (buying off) the clubs supporters with a cash windfall!!!
The remaining cash was spent on purchasing the rights for the toxic wasteland adjacent to our iconic stadium home. This way when the RFL inevitably name Odsal as its new home (which it surely will, I mean where else are they going to relocate to???) then they will have no option other than to buy it off me at a super inflated cost landing me a small fortune
That said, there is a risk that this doesn't happen and I get stumped with the cost for de-contaminating the land at my own personal cost... but my sources at Red Hall have assured me that everything is fine and that their move to a world class sporting facility is "in the bag"!!!
*Just out of interest, if you want the tattoo artists details give me a shout... he's done a cracking job turning my crack and bum cheeks into Big Nige's massive man breasts!!!!

| Thanks to the RFL my conservatory guttering has just been cleared, my hedges have been trimmed, and the entire slope has been landscaped flat so that the hot tub I ordered from the RFL's account can be airlifted into my back garden safely. I promised big Nigel that he could join me on my first venture into the hot tub, but I fear his body mass will displace too much water out of the bath and that would be a waste of heating. I wonder how he'll react when he realises I've broken my promise in favour of my fianceé and a bottle of processco.

| Well the RFL game me the money to purchase Tiger Tots Towers along with staff and I rent it and them back to him for a reasonable fee as long as he keeps on supporting the Bulls in his own inimitable way or the price triples! He doesn't know it's me as I bought in via a Shell company that also sells fuel!

Absolutely not. Except we have never been bust. You must be confusing us with the old company that used to operate around here. We're the new one that the RFL royally screwed over. Is the fact that our current ownership seems to be making a decent fist of it what worries you? You need to get over it, poor lad.

| Can I just say well done to you guys.
Wexford is obviously on the windup (and worth saying he didn't post on the Wakefield Forum) but you guys handled this really well.......and to be honest it's a pretty funny thread.
I miss our games and the game chat on here. Hope you are back one day soon. Hope you are treating Mr Kear well.
I'm also wondering about any residency rules for the fund.
I've been watching Wakefield at Odsal since mid 70s and I've been to loads of neutral games there (Both Northern and Bulls). That must add up to a lot of time on those terraces. I usually supported Bradford in the neutral games. My nephew once bought a Bulls shirt too even though he is from a Trinity family.
If I need a sponsor would anyone help me out with a reference?

Hope this helps PT. You can claim your funding from the RFl quite easily. You need your adult ticket stub from the first game at Odsal (1st September 1934) together with a selfie of you entering the game showing the daily newspaper. Simply take these, along with your grandparents to Odsal and they will give you a Golden RFL Funding application form.
Good Luck.
P.S. If you miss these games you could try dropping down a couple of divisions. (I wouldn't recommend it though)
