No representatives from Bradford in either the England or Exiles squads.

I would have thought that out of the match fit Bulls players I'd have thought Kearney, Luila and L'Estrange were worth a call up for the Exiles and I don't know what Whitehead has to do to get a call up. It's certainly not change clubs because Lynch has still not got an England call up following his switch to Hull and going by his stats he's one of the best players in the competition.

Mind you, on the flip side of Bradford having no call ups, it does mean we're in a stronger position during the period the Exiles games are on as we're no players being required to do double duty.

Bateman could've got into the Knights squad too. On the other hand it's one less game to get injured in.

No players participating in a meaningless two game series is nothing but good from a Bulls perspective. I am pleased that it may be other teams who suffer injuries resulting from this contrived waste of time.

People on these sites state they love Rugby League, yet when the game attempts to raise standards and the profile of the game it gets slated. Rugby League will never reach a wider audience with such narrow minded views. Rugby League needs to expand as many clubs are struggling to compete with other sports and could go out of business - namely your club. So these games, if they raise the profile of our sport do matter.

Dont think most are belittling the games but with our horrid recent record of injuries, im glad we have not got any players in either squad as no doubt they will pick up long term injuries

Personally, I'd like to see Bulls players get the recognition of selection for both this and international games.

However, I can see the argument for players not getting picked being something in Bradford's favour given our run of injuries this year.

Agreed. Kearney's one Country Origin cap in Aus shows up the 200 NRL games & 6 NSW caps that Hodgson achieved was just a flash in the pan. So what if he has kicked 800 goals & scored 130 tries as well.

I am talking about on current form, not what some did 10 years ago as that seems to be the basis of picking the current England squad. Showed last night when Kris Welham outshone the always terrible Leeroy Cudjoe.

Selfishly given our injury situation I'm not too disappointed to see our players have been overlooked. However if we're to prove to be an attractive proposition for new signings whether they be kids or established players we need to show that coming to Bradford isn't a barrier to representative honours.

The only way we'll manage that is for us to get in the 8 and string together some consistent performances and improve. Injuries have made that very difficult this year but hopefully if we sort the finances out and get no more knocks we can start to get players more in the thoughts of international selectors.

From what I've seen, only Lulia deserves a shot for the Exiles. That said, I don't think any of the Leeds players would be in if McNamara had been looking at current form (aside from Burrow and maybe Hall).
