| Sammut or Manese?
Who do we keep?
I'd love for them both to stay if possible but if one has to go, who would you rather keep at this stage?

| Manase for me. Purely because he comes with a Ryan Bailey firmly located in his pocket. (TMFMISL! pah!)

| Going by the fact that Scruton is struggling with injury and there don't seem to be many props around I'd keep Nas. That said I rate Sammut and we need cover at halfback if Jeffries and Gale are injured or out of form.

I'm more swayed to Manese, he brings that aggression that gets the team riled up. Only Elima had that last season and it was to much for him to carry on his own. This season we've seen the team become a lot more aggressive and I think it's down to what these two do.
Sammut is good, but BJ has carried the play making responsibilty IMO thus far, and I think a Gale and BJ partnership could be just as if not more fruitful.

| Im swaying towards manase at moment. not many british props about so difficult to replace. sammuts good but think we should be able to replace him from within although it would probably mean keeping jeffries an extra year to give likes of elliot, aitchison, windley etc time to develop

| Originally I was thinking Sammut. I figured there was enough graft in the side to cover the prop shortage and the possibility of Langley moving there and Addy getting more time at 13, and also that finding a good running stand off has been a problem for some time.
I'm back to undecided now though.

| I put this on the squad page too.
Let Sibbit, Walker, Briggs, maybe Phil Joseph go for next year. And hopefully get Sykes and PLatt off the roster and we should have some decent room on the salary cap. Plus the young forwards will all be a year further developed. Finances aside, the playing side of things are beggining to look quite rosey IMO.

| Surely it will depend on who is available at the end of the season in terms of recruitment. It would be a mistake to let Sammut leave if there were no replacements available at stand off likewise letting Manase leave would leave the front row light for next season if a decent replacement could not be brought in.
What the club needs to do is ensure we are not left with a large hole in our squad at either stand off or prop as a result of either player leaving.

doesnt help as it doesnt change their non-fed trained status. sammut has a dispensation for this year only. when that runs out their both competing for the same non-fed trained spot.

| Ah crap -_-
I refuse to choose Sammut is off the cuff and is a quality player, passes well, creates tries and is good all round. Plus good halves are hard to come by.
Manuokafoa gets the hard metres and tackles well, does big stints and always goes forward, plus good props are hard to come by.
It's a very hard decision and im glad I don't have to make it.

| Manase by a distance. Sammut has been a good signing in the situation we were in. His defence is superb, he's a good goalkicker and good in broken play. However, if we want to progress I think we need somebody whose passing is better. On the other hand I think Manase has it in him to one of the best props in the comp.

| Nas has been a revalation, he has aggression and does a long stint. I wonder if in same way he has been a catalyst for making Bryn step up a gear too.
But Sammut too has added a factor. It's a difficult choice to make, lets hope we are still around to have to make it...

| Bit of an insult to Sammut imo is this thread. The guy has taken on the HB role, and the goal kicking AND is playing 80 mins every match. He was signed as a bit player (apptly) but I think he has exceeded his brief up to now. So there
