Any of you guys know what sort of team your putting out against us on fri 27th?

I suspect it will be a weakened team as we have Hull two days afterwards.

Would like to imagine there will be a few first teamers tho as the club did say it would be a strong line up.

Probably mostly kids with 1 or 2 fringe players. Can't see anyone in 1st team doubling up on Friday and Sunday a week before Super League kicks off. I do hope we send a strongish side and the game is a contest as I will be attending

Injury rehab and club willing, it [ucould[/u be a team with some good players who may be a bit rusty and some good youngns who are a bit sharper. The Keighley team will require some respect. I will probably be there, 35 mins versus 2 hours and a (passive) cougars supporter as the nearest RL club to me and nothing tastes better than St Timothys from one of their own pubs

Could be, but I doubt Potter will send our best team, well the likes of Kearney, Purtell, Lulia and Gale etc to Cougar Park as we have a friendly 2 days later and a week after SL starts so he will want to avoid playing a player twice if he can help it however players like Sykes and Platt who are not likely to be featuring against Catalan may play in the two friendlies. So they may start against Cougars but be on Bench/Reserve for Hull.

no question strongest team will go to hull. cant see anyone playing both unless its off bench in both. Think point martin was making was, If someones coming back from injury, say kear or lulia and its their first game back then Potter may send them to keighley to ease them in a bit rather than throwing them in against hull, which no disrespect to keighley, is likely to be a higher intensity match. same principle as giving a first teamer a game in u20s when returning from injury instead of putting them straight back into first team.

yes as Mat says, i'm with you in hoping for as strong a side as we can put out without prejudicing the Hull game as Radford did a good job for us and deserves the best we can do for him.

So some could double up, start against Keighley and play a small part in Hull game. That's what I'd do that way we are respecting both teams by putting out 2 decent sides.
