Fully appreciate that you can be told what people want to tell you sometimes, but after the game today in the marquee - spoke to a few people:

Glen Hall - assured everyone that he is in a Bradford shirt next year, but that he is also a bit peeved at playing in the under 20s for fitness.

Brett Kearney - assured everyone that he is staying (some people reckon he's offski).

Langers - commented that Orford, although class, is better off staying in Oz and freeing up the cash for 2 or 3 players next year.

Ryan Duckett - asked him about Orford and if the agent is returning calls yet. Ryan said "no he isn't and we know it is a massive issue", he had a knowing look on his face. He also responded to a question about 'Beaver' - as he is free to talk to other clubs, but they may hold on to him if there is no quota signing available. He also said that there will be a much greater depth to the Bulls squad next season, but he won't be drawn on details until after 1st September's embargo.

There were 3 massive lifts today at Odsal - the win, the pledging and the buzz about Harry's new era.

had a conversation with Heath after the match and he assured me that he has got a long contract with the club and we should count on him being there next season.

Not specifically. After all, if Langley will say this to any old member of Joe Public then I am pretty sure it must be common knowledge within the club.

It may well be an honest opinion but it is probably not the wisest opinion to make public IMO.

only problem I have with this, is that the only source of this rumour re langleys comments appears to be a new poster who only joined a week ago and all of whose posts are of a negative nature. If it had come from a more regular poster I'd give it more credence but as it is I'd treat it with a pinch of salt. Apart from anything else it seems a remarkably unprofessional comment from langley which I cant see him making.

I have never denounced my team to anyone, nor booed or complained, and I think you must be reading something that I'm not! This coming season has the potential to be the best one yet in terms of support and developing our youngsters. It's all loooking fantastic.

As to being a 'new poster', yep suppose I am, but let me assure you that I've been going to Odsal since 1983 and have been to almost every game, home and away (besides Catalans this and last year), ever since, so I'm not a whinging stay-away stirring it.

Langers was talking off the record in the way he said it I suppose, but it is interesting that a senior member of the squad does not necessarily believe he will / should return. Definitely think that is worth sharing on a forum. If you don't ... ah well.

dont take it as a personal as it wasnt meant as such. what you've got to realise is that theres a long history on here of people trying to start negative rumours. so when a very new poster puts something up potentially de-stabilising like the comments you allege langers to have made they tend to viewed with a certain level of sceptism.
If langley did make the comment you say then it could be construed one of 2 ways. firstly theres some genuine unrest in camp and maybe an element of jealousy re orfords wage relative to rest of squad or secondly that theres a feeling that we'd be better off with 2-3 decent players instead of 1 star which tbf a lot of people would agree with.
