Fantastic result for Quins at the whole of SL. Hopefully we can gain 2 points and close the gap this weekend.

If you're sat comfortably at the top of the table and you have to lose a couple of points, it's much better losing them to a club at the bottom of the table, rather than you're rivals in the top half of the table.

I don't get what all the fuss is about the new Wigan coach I mean as assistant at Melbourne what did he ever do? I mean did he ever win any silverware?

When you are top of the league throwing away an 18 point half time lead and in fact shipping 32 points in the second half at home is an ideal result. In fact electing to kick a penalty when you are leading the game quite comfortably at home against a team that couldn't be further down the table from you when you are camped on the other teams line after the 4th consecuative set is precisely the sort of confident decision I'd want to see if I were a Wigan fan.

Whisper it quietly but Maguire, the great example of what a coach should be, has only had hold of Wigan for a dozen or so gars and has already had two second half disasters comparable to McNamara's nadirs of Wigan 2007 and Catalans 2009. An inconvenient truth, I know.

Of course it's a serious comment. Sat at the top of the table my expectations would be to win every game regardless of who the competition is.

What I am saying is that if you were to lose 4/5 games all season, I would prefer giving the two points to the teams near the bottom, rather than those close to you and in competition to steal your place at the top.

As a Bradford fan, I would rather lose to Wakey than Leeds.

What I was meaning by the 'wake up' call, is that sitting pretty at the top of the table, you can't take any games lightly, which can tend to happen at times.

He has a point. If we'd have lost to Leeds and Saints last year but beaten Cas twice, we'd have had the same record but come eighth rather than ninth.
