A few rumours about Sunday that if/when McNamara took over England duties you might look to Noble to take over for you lot.

Not a chance, the Bulls don't have money to spend and Nobby doesn't do Clubs with cashflow problems, besides apart from the odd rose tinted fan, most won't want him back. With Peter Hood in the chair very very unlikely!

Nobby was in the chapel house the other night and he indicated he wouldn't rule out being at the bulls as head coach next season!

But that's just not true, now is it? If these fans who won't want him back, being presumably the mythical ones who don't want McNamara either - who the feck DO they want?

I genuinely believe that whilst no doubt there will be a handful of ranters spewing rubbish about Noble, as they do about McNamara, most normal fans recognise that Noble is one of the top coaches around in this country.

Apart from not exactly doing bad with us, he then saved Wigan from the drop and laid the foundations for their present top of the table team.

He then went to Crusaders and in short order made them a genuine team to beat even though it is very early days, such that they have considerably exceeded almost all predictions and expectations.

And he has vast playing and coaching experience including international.

What do these mythical "fans" want, then?

I'm pretty sure you can relax, I don't think we'll be seeing Nobby back at Odsal any time soon (unless we're playing Crusaders of course!)

I'm a lot less worried about getting Noble back than I am about the prospect of Shaun McRae!!! That would be scraping barrels.

Nobby is Bradford through and through and i'm sure the majority of right minded bulls/northern fans would welcome him back with open arms.Just so happens he's our most successful coach but don't let that cloud your judgements.

But apart from that I can see why no team would want him.

I'm not sure Nobby would want to come back given he'd have (according to Mr Murphy) 5th lowest player spend budget in the competition, would be limited by the quota as to how many antipodeans he could sign, and would of necessity have to concentrate much of his effort on youth development? Nobby's manifest success at Bradford (and the initial success at Wigan) was earned in an environment where none of those constraints applied. Are we happy he could reperform that success in the new, constrained environment? Serious question.

For whatever reason, Lenaghan seemingly did not?

I've noticed his name keeps getting mentioned in various articles relating to people being linked with the Bulls coaching job. I for one would be GUTTED if he got it. At least there are positives to Millward, McDermott or Lowes taking over, but I don't see any for McRae. He's done absolutely nothing since he was at Saints except turn poor teams into even poorer ones.

He did a good job at Hull to be fair.

Oh, absolutely, I've said many times that any replacement really should be a keen young current NRL Assistant, who apart from having cut his teeth in that environment, will have extensive contacts and extensive NRL player knowledge including both young and established players nobody here has really heard of. The likes of Jeremy Donougher, Danny Peacock et al.

Also, if we have an Aussie, the RFL are less likely to steal him for the National Team job, like they've done to the last 2 coaches we've had.

Lucky escapes both, if you ask me. The 2 most useless and clueless coached in the history of the game, yet each inexplicably appointed to international coach. How jammy are we?

With all the trouble at Melbourne, Craig Bellamy might be available, if you could afford him.

Depends if you use the figures from the main filing cabinet, or the one in the back room?

Personally I would like to see Nobbie come back but with Hood in charge I doubt that will happen

Why, though?

The situation now, especially financially, is very different to what it was when he was last here.

He was superb for us in that era. But do you believe his skill set is what we need in our present circumstances?

I keep hearing John Sharpe being mentioned...i just hope we dont go for the cheap and cheerfull, according to Hood on the radio yesterday he said we allready have a few hats in the ring..As for Nobby ? i wouldnt rule him out just yet..
