P-TCP - Punisher's Teenage Clown Posse are planning to congregate around the players tunnel on the pop terrace on Sunday. Meeting in the Red Lion at 11 the BQP's are planning a counter demo for all those that like to stand there but feel singing is for kids and the team get enough encouragement when they are throwing away their salaries in Costa Coffee on their free weekday afternoons.

Over the past few years we've worked hard to make Odsal the stand out venue that it is today. The only club that can come close to this Huddersfield but that's gone down hill lately and you can sometimes actually hear their fans after a try when the games on the tele. Remember highlights like the deafening silence during the cup match against Hull in 2008 or when the Catalans fan out sang us in 2007 or the mass half time exodus during the Warrington debacle of 2009?

While Wigan and Hull are audible on Sky Sports or the Super league show (if your lucky enough to catch it when it's on honestly it's like playing russian roulette on a sunday afternoon with the remote control) people sit back in awe at the complete silence we can generate at Odsal. Sometimes I'm proud to say that we are that quiet that it's impossible to think. On televised games the comentators are thrown of their strides due to the sudden sound of a fire engine leaving Odsal Fire Station or the sound of the lads locking up Friar Tucks for the night or even someone winning the jackpot on the fruit machine in the Wyke Lion!!

Do not let these few mindless singers spoil the fun for the rest of us. Think of of the great pride in hearing the wind whistleing through the flags on top of the stand during play!! Make your stand with us by standing silently in defiance at Odsal on Sunday. It is our time people time for the silent majority to stand up and say...


...well nothing just stand there.

Good news. I'll be shushing the kids and tutting at anyone daring to offer polite conversation.

Can we set up a petition/edict to stop the players humphing when they're hit, there's too much of that girlie noise that even approaches an ouch sometimes. When I was young players were real men and kept their feelings/hurt to themselves, now some of them sound as if they've had the wind knocked out of them, what sort of message does that send to young people?

The stewards might not like it, but couldnt we all take a pin and take it in turns to drop them?

No, a thousand times no, if you want to make a racket like that go stand with the bloody singers................

I'm already worrying about how I'm going to eat my packet of crisps. I could wait til half time I suppose.

That's what I do. And stay off the wheat crunchies. They take so long to soften up, you'd only get through 2 in a game.
