| While tossing and turning last night trying to get some sleeps I had a some thoughts on our current predicament:
Is it me or do the team not look as hungry with Solomona missing? Who else can fill in this role
Is Macca currently the longest serving coach in the league joint with Noble?
Who is Morrison alluding to that is not pulling their weight. I have a feeling it is Newton but no evidence.
Certain individuals seem to get up for the big games againts Saints and Leeds but can't be d for the rest - they need to be rooted out and removed IMO
The so called experts who thought Worrincy and Sherrife would be flops and Scruton would be good have been proved wrong. As usual I was right on Worrincy and Sherrife. What happened to Scruton?
I think we are due a big win in Salford if we start as we mean to carry on

OK - I agree that the team do not look as hungry without Solomona. Mainly because, in his absence, there is FAR more to go round at the club canteen in order to satisfy the demand.

Yep, plus i think Matterson (2005?), McDermott (July 2006) and Dixon (2005/2006?)are also either longer serving or around the same time.

No, for long periods last season Solomona looked anything but hungry and was stealing a living at one stage. He's looked more up for it when we have seen him this year but we looked ok against Leeds and Saints in the second half without him.
Is Macca currently the longest serving coach in the league joint with Noble?
No
Who is Morrison alluding to that is not pulling their weight. I have a feeling it is Newton but no evidence.
Newton was handing out some verbal bo!!ockings on the pitch last Sun, he has his faults this year but I dont think its him not pulling his weight.

If the coach can identify regular offenders in this regard they need warning and then dropping then getting shut of if they keep it up.
The so called experts who thought Worrincy and Sherrife would be flops and Scruton would be good have been proved wrong. As usual I was right on Worrincy and Sherrife. What happened to Scruton?
Scruton could have been better for longer periods I'll agree but theres time yet for improvement. No argument over how good worrincy has been but im still to be convinced you've been proved right about Sherrife. he's done ok but thats it.

You and I wish.... somehow I doubt it. they are full of confidence, at home and I cant help think that the bookies offering them a +6 start could be a licance to print money. If we win we'll only sneak it IMO.

I think it might be Langley, poor hands, average hit ups, too many missed tackles for a defensive focussed player
Although Terry has not been himself for a while too and Sunday was the worst I've seen from him

On another point - if Morro only got the Salford v Hudds game wrong on the tipping contest - does that mean he back Celtic to beat us
or do they not predict our games?
Just being a bit mischeivous with this post not too serious

| Could the tipping competition be detrimental to the team? If the players are actively predicting Celtic to lose week in week out could this account for the attitude of the players last week as described by Worrincy?

I think Mission's got a point.
The cure is easy.
1. Ban all tipping comps
2. ban players from seeing either results or tables.
3. Eevry week, tell them this week's opponents have just gone top

| It is definitely not aimed at Newton, he is one of the few putting the effort in. Most of the players can't be bothered and I think Morro may be referring to Deacon & Langley.

Deacon has been a great servant to the club and has been a great player. But there's no place for sentiment in sport. Fringe player now.
Langley has played like a back rower or Loose forward for years. He's a prop forward and that's that as far as I'm concerned. Get Menzies or Burgess in there.
In fact after watching Matt james last night for Fax he's far more mobile and would be better suited to that position than the front row.

Well Langley might make a prop if he had any go forward. James looks good against the likes of Donny, and is mobile enough to be a second row or loose, but he won't look quite so good when back in SL.
Langley looks the part and is a good defensive second row when on form, but he's pedestrian and muscle bound, very little fluidity/pace/step for a SR and no impact as a prop.
