All that would happen is that we'd have calls for the fans to finance the club via buying ST and booze in the stadium, whilst he just hangs around waiting for a way to get his money back. A fourth Administration would only be a matter of time..

I agree with Mat - if a new owner can do a deal with him, he'd be happy to walk away. Hopefully he won't try to play hardball and settle for getting maybe half of his money back, cut his losses and beggar off into the sunset...

The RFL taking our membership has nothing to do with who may or may not buy the club. It's part of the operational rules in which a club that goes into administration loses its membership. It's not a new thing but it just seems to have been leaped on this time around as though it's some massive new punishment

The first time around, membership wasn't mentioned. It was all about the SL franchise place. Maybe that's where the confusion comes from.

But if that was the case, then in insolvency, the security could be set aside as I think an unfair preference under s239 Insolvency Act 1986. You can't prefer yourself as a creditor in that way. Otherwise everybody would do it.

My original request was to see a copy of the agreement, which would clarify whether it should be referred to as a years deduction (the popular but not necessarily correct view) or as you say, 50% of the distributions received by other SL clubs (of which you are the only significant proponent). Whichever it is, OK signed up for it, as the copy of the agreement will show. Or are you suggesting that OK was stupid enough to be duped into 50% of distributions and only twigged later?
