| People seem to forget that Chalmers did not enter this alone but was in partnership with Lowe who unfortunately had to withdraw through ill health fairly early in the adventure. And as yet nobody has ever got to the bottom of the "encouragements" from the RFL that were pretty soon scuppered. Hats off to Chalmers for carrying on with this basket case for so long. Not sure how many of his critics would have thrown as much money into the black hole.

| All of our party of 7 are signing up for Season Tickets at Dewsbury to continue our adventure with Bradford Northern/Bulls. Couldn’t imagine not seeing them play - goes back 41 years for some of us. Well done to our Chairman for not signing the death warrant of a lease.

I think Chalmers has probably hit our hyperspace button.'"
I'm fully expecting a solar explosion coming our way from the RFL in the coming days and months. I can't see them taking this lying down by any means. I think their terse statement hints at that.

It's going to have to be a hell of a statement from the RFL to stop the Bulls from playing at Dewsbury. The fact that AC didn't sign the lease for Odsal past 2019 when he took on the club shows that this scenario has been coming, and the RFL have been aware of it, for a number of years.
Although, forward planning isn't the RLFs forte really.

I think that's off the back of the RFL saying to Chalmers "What are you going to do? Leave Odsal ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif) . What do you mean 'yes'??? ![Shocked icon_eek.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_eek.gif) "

Dewsbury's last home game was 1229.
So an increase of 1056, say Bulls took a thousand for an away game you would expect it to be around 3000 for home games at Dewsbury.

| Landlords fall to their tenants in today's game. Another good trip to Dewsbury. I always enjoy visiting the Tetley's Stadium. The supporters are great and the atmosphere and banter was in full flow. They have a fantastic little ground with some wonderful heritage items on show in the bar under the terracing. They have the 3G facilities around the back of the ground, a roof over the main stands and a scoreboard that works! It's not all bad.
Whilst speaking with some Bradford and Dewsbury fans today, some interesting ideas were raised about our upcoming ground share. It was suggested that during the warmer summer months that the games could be a staged as a double header e.g. Bradford vs Halifax followed by Dewsbury vs Batley. I'm sure with the right amount of promotion and buy in from the fans we could turn that into a sell out fixture!
Another idea was to offer Rams & Bulls fans discounted entry into each others fixtures e.g. If Bradford are away in Toulouse and Dewsbury have a home fixture the same weekend any Bulls season ticket holders can watch the game at the Tetley's Stadium for £5.

| It’s not self explanatory. You could have been saying the crowd was surprisingly good or surprisingly low. It’s also peak holiday season, effectively a dead rubber game and on the back of the above any bulls fan had to pay to get in, so I wouldn’t necessarily agree it’s a guide to how many bulls fans will travel, with all due respect

Enough for what?
Don't forget all the Bulls fans had to pay for this game.

You have to pay for every game. ST's aren't free.
A "reduced" capacity could be great for you - it incentivizes people to get the few tickets that are available, including STs.

I meant that the majority of the 2k attendance were from the pay on the gate Bulls fans. The poster was alluding to the fact that the 2k attendance was much lower than our 3.5k average (which includes ST holders)
For example me. I'll prob get a ST next year but didn't go today as I didn't want to fork out with it being holiday season and the game not having a massive effect where we finish.

It's a balancing act, for sure. It should work well for you.
If you are competitive in the top 5 next year, you'll get a number of sell-outs.
It'll be the "hot ticket".

I don't really get that logic, to be honest. Why would we get 3000 for a 'home' game when we only took 1000 to an 'away' game? It's the same stadium!

Agree, but there will be a bit of rebalancing, with the branding of "home" games, starting on "zero", so will be competitive straight away, and the limited capacity when it comes to big games.

I'm a concise sort of guy, perhaps more words would have been appropriate.
That said my gut feel is gates will plummet but probably still have a better atmosphere than odsal..
I was using the term enough as a marker against what chalmers expects.
With regards to a dead rubber game - don't we need to win every game?
