Good statement really, just hope he hasn't put his foot in it speaking about the RFL like that.

| Personally I think he's been quite clever with his wording/statement - ultimately pointing out that it was the RFL who approved both Omar and Green, who have ultimately pushed us into administration 2 of the 3 times.......would be a case of put up or shut up from Lawn though I feel if he were to get the gig.

| It needed saying though. The "neutral" fan seems to be oblivious to RFL culpability. I know it's far easier to make a bland statement blaming the owners, but it's about time fans held the RFL to account for their damaging actions far more often. They are totally teflon.

| Hope Lawn doesn't blow his chances by hurting fat Nigel's feelings.
TBH he has to be approved by the administrator before the RFL get their say IIRC so I guess we'll wait and see.

| Quote ="Bullseye"Same here.
I may be being thick here I'm not sure what this "charge on the ground" that is apparently worth £650k means.
Does it mean if Green loses out to another bidder the winner has to pay him £650k if they want to clear all the debt?
That just looks like Green's way of getting his money back. £650 seems a bit steep? Where's that figure come from?
Having said that if someone outbids Green and decides they're not settling any debts Green will get nowt. Is that right?
If the whole thing goes into liquidation would Green be the main person to get anything from the asset sell off. So he'd get the pittance raise from pulling down and scrapping the south bank?
Green is finished IMHO.'"
Thinking legally, I think it might just get him his money back if the business actually folds, as opposed to being bought from administration, as he will be a preferred creditor, and whatever the lease is sold for, he will get his money back. If, however, creditors are paid via administration, which can be a proportion, he is probably in the same pool as everyone else, albeit he has to be paid off to get rid of the charge.

| That is a good statement and some of it does need saying. Id happily support a club run within its means in the championship by someone who knows what they're doing and is honest. you can build again towards sl in time, but this constant spending what we don't have and avoiding tax just is not the way or sustainable, the club will, quite rightly, die.
Lawn is saying all the right things for me, but we'll see if he gets a chance to back it up.

Still baffled. If it's £650k he'll be owed the most out of all the creditors.
The lease on the ground isn't the club's or administrators to sell. It's owned by the RFL.

| Nobody really has any idea how much Marc has put into the club over the last two years, but some did point out that for those last few months of the year we went down everyone was paid on time despite there being no money left. It had to come from somewhere, so perhaps that figure could be something to do with that?

| I'd be more than happy for Rhodes and Lawn to take the club. They steadied the ship down at VP and turned City into one of the stronger teams in the league with huge crowds for their playing level

| From what I can remember/fathom from previous it's basically highest bidder wins, right?
So hopefully Lawn or whoever will do it properly this time and not the Koukash white knight approach and apparently offering bugger all.
It's ok issuing the rallying call from Lawn and gaining the public favour but if he doesn't front up then it's mere talk.
Right?

| I know it's just a small thing....the RFL did not control the purse strings at Bradford. If you know what's coming in you know what you have to go out. Stop blaming the RFL and keep the blame on the officials at your club. Feel sorry for the Bradford fans and from the list of interested parties about three quarters of them have been involved in the disaster that has been the last 5 years.

| If the Bulls is now a Community club, as is BPA and both play on Council turf, is there a way forward in building a Community stadium. This would rid us of the Odsal millstone and provide a home for both Clubs with sports facilities for the wider public as well.Such a solution would benefit all concerned financially I would have thought.

Isn't it the person that offers the best deal for the creditors? The Administrator isn't interested in the future plans for the club, only for the best deal for the creditors.
I seem to recall that's how Green ended up winning out last time. The others had far FAR more money, and all sorts of plans to spend it on the team etc - but they offered very little to the creditors. But Green - who I think actually [iwas[/i the main creditor - was able to win the club by offering to pay off the creditor (i.e himself)
Or maybe I just got that all wrong - it's all a bit of a haze from back then...

Apologies, that sort of what I meant. Who would be the highest bidder to pay the most to the creditors. And for all his talk it seemed the Koukash clan didn't offer the bestestest.
I just worry one party will get the fans backing and not offer the best deal. Or those that do have the club tread water for a bit before sinking.

Directors loans which he can choose to call in or not? The previous Wakey chairman, Glover, is still owed half a million or something, or was, but chose not to call it in, I think. If he loses control of the business, he wants his cash back. It might be a good indicator of how much he has put in.

The RL statement is now out
www.rugby-league.com/kingstone_p ... ford-bulls
Confirms that the administrator makes his recommendation then they determine if they accept it or tell them to go away.
Focuses on the fit and proper person test, and that the appropriate sanction will be determined later but could include RELEGATION. Don't remember hearing that before.
Some comment from Lawn about putting people in that hadn't run a rugby team, but didn't the RL put Ferres in to address that concern? Fat lot of good that did us, so where people say we should look internally at where the blame lies, the RL have a degree of culpability with the selection of a fit and proper person and their delegate to ensure we were run on proper lines.

That's a very hacked down version of the RFL statement.
Any club that goes into admin loses its membership. Those are the rules.
And while I understand those saying "administrators say no rush = more money for them" you have to remember that a big slice of zero is still zero

| I can see a whole new bumper bonus sanction this year, following on from a point deduction and half our money stolen in previous rounds, this year how about relegation and a points deduction? That would be awesome.
