I realise statistics don't always tell the full story, but Marc Herbert is 5th in the entire Super League for try assists. He's created more tries than Kevin Sinfield, Lee Briers, or Michael Dobson.

So, we're going to get rid of him and bring in someone who has created less tries and is one of the worst players in the competition for missed tackles



I'd be happy to lose Herbert IF we can guarantee that he will be replaced by someone significantly better. But that someone is NOT Luke Gale

And how would you propose to get rid of players who are on longish contracts like Sykes and Platt? Given that the compo you would have to pay them would count under the next two years' salary caps, and thereby restrict our ability to sign replacements?

So say now that you have reduced the squad by 4 to 6 players, who would you replace them with that are better? Also bear in mind that some of the onse that you would get rid off are under contract, so even after paying them off still count towards the cap.

What's that if it's not singling out a player? Add to the fact that you then go on about getting rid of other players who are under contract, thus putting the Bulls in a weaker position as we'd be 4 players shorter next year and still have their salaries cutting a wedge out of our salary cap all goes to show what an idiot you are. If we sign a half, my guess would be a (hopefully) quality, specialist no.7, since we have Jeffries and Briggs on longer contracts it may well be Herbert, who is OOC at the end of the year, who goes, especially as he is on quota. That depends on a signing being made though, and obviously who is available. Whether Potter decides to go with what we have is the joker in the pack, my thoughts being that he probably won't, but again, it will quite probably depend, to a large extent, on who of the right quality and price, is available.
