On his current contract, he counts as non-fed trained, for the reasons you mention (though there is some dispute over whether his EU passport is Italian or Greek).

If / when he signs another SL contract (for anyone), he will be classed as fed-trained.

Probably not even average when signed, but part of a top five pack this season. Can any Bradford fan seriously say they would rather have McNamara than John Kear?

Kear isn't anything special anyway, out of about 2 years coaching all he's got to his name are two measley challenge cups and countless relegation fights.

And can you see McNamara winning anything? Every team Kear has coach has improved during his reign, and the 2 measly Challenge Cups were won with massive underdogs. Three years ago we won our last game to stay up, this year we we finished 5th and expect a run in the play offs.

Kear was certainly a triumph when he coached England.

The truth about Noble is that he inherited a good side, jumped ship when it started going downhill, spent money above the salary cap to keep Wigan up, struggled since then and now going to a club with no expectations where he can't really lose. Poor coach

Bradford were in decline when he left. Wigan were bottom when he took over, so again nothing to lose. Same with Celtic. If he's such a good coach I couldn't see Wigan letting him go. He also quit Britain before he was found out. Couldn't fasten Kear's boot laces.

I can see an argument that Kear is better than McNamara. Kear is capable of taking sides to mid-table and no better. Macca hasn't reached that yet, although he does have time on his side and it wouldn't take much improvement to overtake Kear.

Kear could never claim to be close to Noble. I imagine that he would tell you that himself.

Im not Nobles biggest fan on this board by a long shot (I reckon our team got slightly worse each season from 2001), but, even I have to question this, how do you "luckily" get to 5 grand finals in row? and how do you "luckily" hold all 4 available trophies at the same time??? btw...could you maybe explain why the good folk of Wakefield do not seem to be as impressed with Kear as you seem to be, given that 13% less people on average turned up to Belle Vue this year compared with last? Despite the team's best performance in recent history.
