| In trying to decide whether or not to pledge, I've been having a think about what it means to be a Bradford fan and a supporter of the club. I've come to the following conclusions:
- Bradford RLFC and Bradford Bulls Holdings Ltd are not equivalent entities. I support Bradford; I often find myself at odds with the organisation that owns them.
- I like Odsal but Bradford Bulls Holdings Ltd don't own it, so that's not relevant.
- Bradford Bulls Holdings Ltd don't [iappear[/i to own anything that isn't massively transient. Assets are player contracts and sponsorship deals, both of which become null and void if the whole things falls apart. As such, I struggle to see what they as an organisation bring to the table.
- I don't trust Hood et al, and their sense of entitlement (something that makes me uncomfortable at the best of times) is about as endearing as it is acceptable.
- I don't much care about having a team to support in Super League. I'd prefer it but it's certainly not the be all and end all.
- I'd struggle to get excited about a Bradford team who don't wear Red, Amber, and Black, so going to see Dudley Hill week in week out just wouldn't work for me.
Fundamentally, the two things that get me excited about Bradford are the fact that they play rugby league and that they are something to be proud of in a city that attracts a lot of derision. Unless and until Hood can demonstrate the mechanism by which me and a few thousand others forking out a few hundred quid will actually make any medium or long term difference, I'd rather give my money to BISA/Bullbuilder.
