| Absolutely fantastic performance against the worlds best pack. Did 60 minutes straight before going off. You dont need fancy half hearted players Walkers and Douglas are both fantastic. Workaholics who wont shy away when the going gets tough. Awesome. So pumped after watching that game

| I have always liked Walker, if I were you guys I would worry if you have the class to take advantage of your forward pack.

Walker impressed me all last year tbh and has had a good four nations. He's going to be a bargain signing imo.
Douglas has been decent in the four nations but I just wonder if he's a little weak carrying the ball. Can't knock his effort, work rate and heart . He's obviously a tough lad as you don't play that many games on the bounce if he's soft.
Be interested to see the stats from the two of them.

Douglas reminds me a bit of Jason Cayless. Not particularly impressive carrying the ball but seems to be everywhere.

If he's half as good as Cayless then I'll be happy. Cayless was top quality.

| Lets not go overboard, neither did anything special. 'Solid' is the word I'd use to describe them both, Walker if anything looks like he might have that destructive element to his game that we've missed for so long. By that I mean the aggression to knock the opposition off their game, make them go after him, open up space for others and make the penalties rain in. Having said that, as pointed out, it was against quality opposition.
I think the pack will be fine. It's 6,7 and 9 that worry me now. We've no depth in the halves and I'm not convinced by Theo Fages, first ten games of next season is make or break for him I feel. Smith will be Smith, so we'll need all that creativity and class to come from Theo, which is a lot of pressure for a youngster.

Yeah. I'm not saying he's as good, but I think he's the same sort of player.
Strangely enough, Walker reminds me physique-wise of Darren Britt. If he turned out to be half as good as him then I'd take that as well.

| As usual our halves will be a problem again. The is massive amount on pressure on Theo to produce any spark in attack as Smith has no creativity really.
It's a shame we've not brought in a top 7 axis we now have good attacking players on the edges with percy and Morgan.

It does stick out like a sore thumb doesn't it. I can see Lomax joining the attacking line a bit more to take a bit of pressure off Fages.

Lomax is our key attack, no doubt about that, it's no coincidence we went on 12 match winning run when lomax came back and our attack picked up.
The outside backs look decent as does the pack but the halves look weak.

I thought Lomax had a good game in a well-beaten England side today. Joined the line well, and added threat. In SL, if he keeps that up, with two decent centres, we have grounds for optimism.

The problem imo is getting good ball to the likes of percy, lomax and Morgan

| Keeping our Backs Fit is the most important thing for me, our Back line is as good as anyone in the League, the problems start when we get injuries.

Is it? Perhaps it's been so long since we've had a decent 1-5 out on the field, but I can't help thinking a few teams are better than us in the backs.
Lomax, Morgan (Hopefully) and Percival are quality. Makinson is a very limited player but reliable and consistent and it remains to be seen what condition he's in when he returns from his injury. Swift I've never been entirely convinced by. But it will be exciting to see Lomax, Swift, Morgan, Percival, Makinson named together instead of the likes of McDonnell, Dawson, Fleming, Turner and Owens.
I'd still like another signing though. Either a backrower or a halfback. If we get an injury in the halves, we'll be back to Wilkin at halfback, or even Tommy Lee.

I actually agree with you on our backs. Makinson is always 7/10 and rarely goes above it, he's very consistent. Swift can come up with some marvellous plays but then can go and drop 3 simple balls.

| Yeah, I'm not sure our backline as as good as all that. A lot will depend on how good Morgan turns out to be. If he offers a genuine threat on that side of the field then we will have a strong setup, but if he turns out to be another mediocre fringe-NRL man then we'll still lack a bit of incision. Still difficult to look past Leeds for the best backline, IMO.
