Hi guys, coming over for the game next Friday and staying the weekend in Widnes, just wondered if anyone can recommend parking or travel arrangements coming in that way, only ever been on coach before.

It's one road. Go on St helens expressway and keep going to you pick up signs

If you're coming in from Widnes on the Friday there's a bus if you don't want to drive. Only a small bus but it stops outside the ground. 17/17B.

That's right. Basically if you are driving from Widnes find the A570 expressway (if you follow the signs to the M62 you can't really miss it). From Widnes you will come to a large roundabout which is M62 J7 and from there just follow the signs for St Helens. Straight over a couple of roundabouts and you'll run into the ground if you don't slow down - it's that straight a route.

Once you see the ground the car park you mention is a further 5 mins drive away in the direction of the Town Centre. Rather than try and give you directions the address of it is here if you have a Sat Nav - it's a multi storey:

Chalon Way W, St Helens, WA10 1BF

Once you have parked up on there Wetherspoons (The Glass House) is virtually opposite and, yep, the ground is a 10 minute walk over the Steve Prescott Bridge. Just follow the crowds or, if recent attendances are anything to go by given the 'unrest' then follow the 3 people in Saints shirts.

If you put the World of Glass museum in your sat nav it'll take you right to the Chalon Way car park.

If you put the 'KC Lightstream Stadium' in a sat nav, it directs you right into the back of wardrobe

I am sure he knows where the expressway is.

Why stay in widnes?

Last year we stayed at the Best Western in Widnes for the Widnes away fixture as we got a good 'living social' deal £99 for two night B & B and a 3 course meal. Liked the hotel as it means we can also do Cheshire Oaks on the Saturday. We've paid £128 B & B this year which was £8 more than the Premier Inn in St Helens with no breakfast and less than 5 miles away, happy with that.
