Only one winner of that game from the moment the second half kicked off. We could have played until Christmas and we wouldn't have scored. Superb from Sneyd to win it, a brilliant player, another one we missed out on. Hull have hit a wall after a good start, several out injured, several playing injured and they were the only side looking to win that today. Fully fit at their place, they would put 50 on us. What Warrington will do is potentially alarming. Walmsley was our best players last season but is a mess at the moment, unfit and a complete liability in defense. Rest him next week, absolutely no point playing him.

McManus needs to grow a pair and do something about this mess now. I had a massive rant in mind walking back to the car, but can't be bothered now, the club makes me feel physically sick at present, meandering happily down the road to mediocrity. He's in charge of this farce and the old boys club has surely run out of road. Recruitment and coaching are massive areas of complete and utter failure and there are absolutely no signs that McManus even realises this is the case. There should be rumours of players coming in for next season, there should be confirmed exits of deadwood players and maybe a couple moved on now. Owens, Dawson, Burns, Peyroux and Tasi are simply not good enough to play for Saints, the likes of Walsh, Wilkin and Turner are also not worth keeping so need to leave.

Over the years as FC have ambled about in lower mid table, quite a lot of our fans have defaulted to supporting Saints against cynical bullies Wigan, boring Leeds and up themselves Warrington. This has been pretty easy given your formerly glorious, expansive, imaginative play. Since Cunningham took over though you look reminiscent of FC under Agar; ponderous, one-out, hit and hope. Hope you get it sorted soon as the league is better for strong entertainers.

Was an exciting game for us last night. We're on a little run of comebacks so Sneyd closing it out wasn't that unexpected, but nonetheless a tough game. We may be reaping the benefits of relatively few injuries and Radford rotating the squad very well over the gruelling 8 day Easter period.

I thought you started to win the energy battle around 60 mins, your rested players seem to be paying dividends after that. We picked up a few injuries in the first half which stared to tell later on in the game, especially against the big lads Pritchard and Fonua who were tackle busting and getting offloads away.

Can't disagree with a lot of that, Saddened.

I think results are going to continue to be inconsistent, especially with all the injuries but part of me is excited/hopeful that we blood a few kids into the side to see what they can do. I don't want our medical team strapping up the likes of Walsh and getting them back on the pitch when I've not even been impressed with them at full fitness. I want to see what the next generation can bring to the table because there's going to be a fair few players leaving at the end of the season and we're not the type of club that goes out and signs half a team in one go.

The most worrying sign for me is that were playing players who dont derserve to play and were not giving youth a chance.

Richardson should be in. Knowles should be in and playing his natural position. Aaron smith should be in instead of burns for rotation hooker.

I think you've got to realise that most of Superleague is going down the route to mediocrity especially in the quality creative player department, Warrington and Widnes are managing to make a fist of it at the moment. Who would have thought Huddersfield and Leeds bobbing along the bottom because they have lost a couple of creativity players, there is not much back up with most teams if they lose there half backs to injury, look at Castleford and Salford both lost there stand offs and are struggling, Widnes will be the same if Brown gets injured. Wigan fans are not happy either despite there league position they too are finding the season boring.
It going to be an up and down Superleague this year, if we can get Lomax, Percival, Swift and Vea back then we have the options to play to there strengths, thats if KC takes off the blinkers of course.

Percy, Vea and swifty was all fit at the Start of the year and played dire rugby. We won't change how we play, we are a one up team with no creativity. Vea is now one of our battle rams too.

I've been a fan for over 50 years and I've seen sides go through bad patches but there was always the optimism that they'd put a good run together and turn the corner but in this case it's not a case of a good side going through a bad spell there doesn't seem any light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes I know we have injuries but, Percival Swift and Lomax are young promising players not established superstars so there's no guarantee that they will make a significant impact on there return.

The club needs to remember that although we're fans we're also paying customers and like any business they need to be marketing a product that we want to buy.

I know the salary cap is restrictive but if they want to compete in the market place you need "bums on seats" type of signings something they haven't done for a couple of seasons.

That was because we had 2 projects on the go, Owens at Full back and Turner at Stand Off, at last we've got Fages getting the No 6 shirt which means we,ve got a runner to get the ball out wider which was starting to re shape our play in the last 2 games you missed.

Yet last night I'm told was a horror of a performance with the ball. We can't even get the ball to tell outside backs in any space with good ball.

We been crap all year and I can't see how it's going to get better with the way things are.

I watched the widnes game on TV and any half decent team would have put 50 points on them, they was that bad.

I think you need to check out the highlights in both those games to see 2 decent tries in each game scored with plays out wide. LMS and Greenwood are playing a bit wider as well with the centres.

The thing is I'm not even bothered if the club achieves success or not. I just want it to try. If we make five or six signings next season and are ambitious with those, I don't care if we don't match Warrington or Wigan, I'd be glad we tried. A lot of SL is terrible, but there are a few clubs trying not to be and those clubs will take the trophies. I don't see why we can't be one of them.

Let's not kid ourselves. Our attack v Widnes was largely diabolical. And the entire performance after the first 20-25 mins on Friday was a disgrace.

On Fridays game, Greenwood, Peyroux, Walsh, Dawson and Thompson picked up injuries in the first half so that toil was going to have its effects in the second half.

Oh well. Some people can clearly see our faults and are unhappy with what's going on.

Others make excuses and have their heads in the sand.

Peyroux, Walsh, Dawson and Thompson stayed on the field. Walsh and Peyroux was more or less the walking wounded and Hull attacked that channel in the second half using Pritchard. It was our decision making, discipline and defence that let us down around the 30 min mark.
On 37 mins Wilkin did a no pressure kick on the 3rd tackle, Hull ran it back 30 metres before I think it was Wilkin gave away a daft penalty to Hull let camp near our try line to score going into the break 16 -10 instead of 16-4 that was bad decision making and discipline.

I didn't expect Walsh to come out in the second half, most of the running play had to come from Fages but Dawson (calf) and Peyroux (hamstring) were struggling. Also in the second half we had for some reason Walmsley flying out of the defensive line on 3 occasions and missing the tackle and making a big hole in our defence each time, I'm not quite sure but I think he got pinged for a penalty on one of them.

Well there's a couple of things to discuss here.

If Walsh was so injured that kicking 1 drop goal from 20m out was beyond his realm of ability at that time, why was he not subbed and one of the plethora of other halfbacks (Wilkin, Burns, Turner) brought in? Poor coaching.

If Peyroux has been playing with his thigh strapped the way he has, is it any wonder after his 3rd straight game he's going to be struggling? Why has their been no rotation at throughout the games? Poor coaching with a lack of faith in the youngsters (despite virtually every other club bringing kids in, the Wales international kid in Grace can't get a game still?)

If Greenwood failed his concussion test, why did KC seem unaware he couldn't bring him back on (as per him talking about bringing Wilkin back to the middle where he was "good"icon_wink.gif? Why could he not readjust and bring Savelio or Peyroux into the left second row for a stint? Poor coaching, with an ever growing preference to sub by the clock.

Hull themselves had a few issues. Minichello went off before we picked up any problems. Save injuries as an excuse for Brian McDermott. This was all our own doing.

I agree, Peyroux didn't look match fit to play that game. Walsh should have been subbed with perhaps Fages at scrum half and Burns at Stand Off, Wilkin was making a few bad decisions so it was probably better leaving him as he was.

Bringing in youngsters is one for debate, is it better to play a youngster with a strong side where they can learn off the full time pro's or throw them into the deep end in a weakened team at risk, we know KC is limited on risks.

The Greenwood affair was amateur, at one point we had Roby, Walsh, Fages and Burns on the field at the same time and I,m not sure what Burns role was. Poor inexperienced coaching awareness from KC and his gang.

OK so injuries is your excuse for Hull. What's your excuse for the dire boring one up rugby before that?

On here and the RedVee I have read loads bemoaning your style of play and saying that Saints play boring Rugby and that you not finish in the top 4.

But I stick by the adage never write off the Saints and was wondering if it is the case that you all have an unnecessary dose of negativity!

No doubt about it we are boring as hell. It's so bad it's unwatchable at times.

Wirh the league being such a poor standard we could still make top 4 but I honestly can't see it.

Last season we were poop, well I say we were poop but we were actually fine until we got to within 20 metres of the other teams line but then all the players seemed to be looking round for Lee. Also our fitness levels didn't seem right and we did have a number of injuries. But no more than this season.
