Alex Walmsley is more than capable of playing for England. His surgery isnt immediate and he has now set himself back from being selected for next world cup by missing this series.
Last year James Roby told McNamara he needed surgery so couldnt get selected and it later transpired, through his own admission, that he didnt need surgery at all and he went on a long sunny holiday.
What's going on? Is Cunningham encouraging your players to turn down England or do they just not have the work ethic for another month of rugby?

I don't think McBanana has any say on when Roby plays..........probably his thinking will be "You play whenever you want James". As for Walmsley he's played a lot of minutes this season needs the rest to avoid any further injuries, he should the be capable of playing better next season and nailed on for that England shirt. Its a shame Flower is Welsh he could have demolished the Kiwi pack.

I seen a clip from the MOS awards of Walmsley going up to the stage. He looked in pain and was limping heavily. I can't see that he can have been anywhere near fit to play in that Leeds semi but needs must.
Looked all above board to me and he certainly didn't look fit enough to play in a test series.
