worth a punt to spell Roby?
"The longest-serving West Tiger was just as disappointed in the timing of the decision, particularly since most NRL clubs have already filled their salary cap for the 2016 season, making a move to the UK a genuine possibility."

| Leeds in for him too apparently, but seemingly wants to stay in the NRL as he is still good enough to be considered for NSW in Origin.

| 32 years old in January and reputedly earning over £400K a year in Aus.
Just what we need over here!!
But to be fair he is a decent player.

| Would walk straight in to the vacant no9 shirt at the best club in the competition. If he came in SL, I would think money would be the only thing stopping him going to Headingley.

| If you are going into the NRL market then you really need to be buying someone between the ages of 24 & 26. That way you at least know his body has a few years left before giving out.
I'm not suggesting that we should completely rule out anyone approaching their thirties. But unless lack of experience within the squad is an issue I'd be very wary.
The NRL is a very tough competition. You really need to be something pretty special to still be performing at your peak once you hit thirty. I've lost count of the number of burnouts which have somehow managed to hook a SL chairman whose money is burning a hole in his pocket.
This is where having a good NRL scouting system really pays dividends.

| We need to use Charnock a bit more to spell Roby, Robbie Farah on his salary would be a replacement buy......is this what we want.
Charnock is very useful in that he cover Hooker, Halves and Loose Forward has a decent passing game and defence can also kick for position.
Suprised we have not used him a bit more to sub Roby,Walsh or Burns.

He can't half put a tackle in. He looks pretty good. I'd hate to lose him to a club where he'd probably make a decent name for himself much like Matty Smith or Jamie Ellis.

| Getting rid of Smith and Ellis weren't bad decisions at the time. Ellis has been gone five years, and has only really looked ok in the last 2. He wouldn't have got near the team in the intervening years.
I'm a bit surprised that Charnock hasn't been used a bit more though, he hasn't looked out of place when he has been used this year and Roby has looked like he should have been spelled a bit more during games.

I disagree about Matty Smith mate. We'd been crying out for a scrum half since Longy left. Eastmond was injury prone, Gaskell was carted off, Lomax isn't/wasn't a half back etc etc

| Ellis May have played for the club if he'd have stayed on the straight and narrow..
Smith chose to leave due to Kyle Eastmond which then backfired on us.
Both were the correct decisions at the time

| I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Warrington next season.
