We,ve got to get at them straight away to get on the front foot and control the game, if we sit back and wait for them to run out of steam it could end up a close game with the result in doubt.
If we raise the tempo, complete our sets with a deep kicking game we should be OK, something similar to the Cas game.

I can see us struggling in this one to be honest, their backs in particular will trouble us. But we're clearly capable of beating them at home at least.

If we lose this one serious questions need to be asked. Time to start performing in the games that matter.

Any way. I agree go at them full tilt. But we need ball control. No point going full tilt and knocking on every set. Last week we were good because we played hard and did not give up cheap ball. Cheap ball absolutely nullifies any aggression.

Playing it hard and tight, with a decent kicking game. Make them work their way out of their 20 meters. That is how we played it against Cas and that is exactly how we should play it again. I'm sure the players are not daft, if you go in coasting you will cough up the ball and that has been the killer for us in weeks past. Not the tackling or the running but the dropping of the ball on the first few tackles.

I'm quite confident in the defense and if they are pinned down their end, they are always good for a few penalties.

I think it's going to be a tough match. The Dragons will be tired. They've had a difficult play off series. If they were playing anyone else I'd be cheering them on. But if we play like we did against Cas - and this season we can never be sure how we are going to play! - then we have a great chance of winning the game.

I think Henserson is their main threat at hooker. When he's on the field he's running the game. The other night when he returned to the field at hudds I thought he changed the game.

Catalan also have a good big tough pack with Lima, elima, Anderson and whitehead all capable of doing some serious damage with and without the ball.

I don't particularly rate their halves tbh and we always stand a chance against a team with no halves like ourselves.

We can't kick to Oldfield on the wing, he's a dangerous runner and has pace.

Is certainly 100% put Escare under the high ball. He's a accident waiting to happen on kicks but also very quick and elusive runner and on his day can be top quality.

Catalan's should feel a bit hard done by here, they played a day after wire but have to play you 24 hours' earlier than Wire, surely in the interest of fair play the Warrington Wigan game should have been played Thursday and your game Friday.

Then Warrington or Wigan will have a 24hr advantage when preparing for the Grand Final. Having that advantage comes with finishing top and having Club Call.

The team finishing top earn the advantage of an extra days prep for the grand final.

As for catalans, I don't care how we do it, just that we do it. I think we should use a similar game plan to Cas and hopefully it should yield similar rewards.

I've got to admit, Thursday's game is unnerving me a bit.

Everybody seems to be tipping us to reach the final forgetting that Catalans are in great form and destroyed us in our last game.

I think if we replicate the Cas performance we'll be fine but it's not as cut and dried as some seem to think.

Have to really watch ourselves in this, Catalan can be a naughty set of swines if things dont go their way (see when they played Wigan at their gaff) and we could potentially have big players carrying big knocks or even playing through too much pain and not to their best ability in the GF.

Get stuck in, give it all you have and leave nothing out there, can't ask for more than that and if we do that then the result will go our way.

My first thought once they'd won was that we were caught between a rock and a hard place. I don't like the way people are assuming we will turn the Dragons over. They look very, very determined. I'm just hoping they are too tired to last the full 80 and that we like the thought of playing to our best for the full 80!

They've been as clean as whistles in the play off, positive cherubs in fact. The best set of stats I've seen from the Dragons ever.

I'm really nervous. I think we could be complacent.
