| Just something I have thought for a while now.. wigan have dummy runners running some brilliant angles when attacking the line. They are running in a number of directions and their movement off the ball is fantastic. It really confuses the defensive line. Is it really that difficult to coach? Our dummy runners look a bit predictable. I have often thought this about England when playing Australia too. Why can't we create some plays where dummy runners confuse the defensive line? Having said that I am mighty proud of the efforts yesterday and bring on the playoffs!!! Come on you saints!!

| It's probably being done deliberately to avoid us looking disjointed given the youthfulness and lack of combinations we've had in the halves. Keep it to set line ups and movements so players like Lomax and Gaskell aren't forced to play on the fly. Our early part of the season was an utter mess in attack.

It also lost them a try for obstruction yesterday so it's a risky tactic and one I'd rather us not try close to the line.

People forget this when they criticise our attack. For the whole of this season we have had to play with two totally inexperienced halfbacks and two very inexperienced wingers with other highly inexperienced young players bobbing in as and when necessary. No way has Royce been able to develop our attack as he would have been able to had we enjoyed a normal season. We have had no choice but to play it simple so that our young players can cope.

Exactly, Hoffman even an option once his gone through the opposition line... the amount of forward passes Finch has thrown to him this season that have gone unseen...

We use to be quite good at it, dummy running, but that was when we had an experienced side with the likes of Longy, Martyn, Joynt and Gilmour. But as mentioned can't do it with young inexperienced players in an injury ravaged side. So Royce has got to keep it simple, thats why we quite often look too flat laterally in attack and become easy for the opposition to defend. Warrington and Wigan are good at it............because they have had a fairly settled side most of the season to practise the art that we have lost.
