Has Royston mentioned what his policy is going to be with regards to the Bradford game?

With us having the usual 5 or 6 out injured anyway, Roby adding to that list presumably (Any news on that?) and the Exiles/England contingent likely to swell up with late call ups as other teams make their players cry off, what would that leave us with for the Bradford game?

If we don't ask the players to back up from the Exiles farce, we could be down about 12 players? Kind of reminiscent of another game at Bradford I remember.

Presumably Bradford won't have anyone selected for the Exiles game? Is it a case of 'we won't win there anyway with so many out, so lets just rest everyone?'.

On this occasion, we would be mightily obliged if you would consider doing just that?

I can't see Simmons going for the Millward esque George Formby option. I think he will pick the strongest possible team, including thise who have played in the exiles match.

Saints players have backed up after internationals before, this will be no different.

For me two points is two points. We need to win this game to keep in touch with the wire and pies. It is going to be tough but the players are just going to have to get on with it I am afraid.

Bearing In mind Its a top eight,and were pretty handily placed I wouldnt play any of the forwards If they play long minutes.

What about clough/Flannery and Wheeler?

If clough and Flannery are back that would give us cover up front and in 2nd row.
Wheeler maybe able to cover either Shenton or Meli.

There is still a chance that Wilkin will not get picked, so there maybe no need to get players to back up. Or if they do back up they can do it from a bench spot.

That way if it's going well after 20 mins, Royce may just let the starting 13 do a full 80.

Selection for England will be telling. And 1 man still has to come out of the Exiles 18.

We have got to go with best possible team, we should be looking to go unbeaten in June if at all possible which will leave us very handily placed with 9 games remaining.

The Origin players back up 3 times a year in the NRL (though I do appreciate some teams get the bye) and we do it at easter.

To pick a weakened team and lose to Bradford would be the worst possible preperation going into games against Wigan & Wire.

I think there is a big difference between easter and the exiles game, namely 24 - 48 hours.

Some teams play on a Thursday others a friday then a Monday or a Tuesday.

The shortest gap is 48 hours rest the longest gap is 4 days rest. Here was are talking about 24 hours rest for some players.

Origin is played mid week so again the fixture is set up nicely, to give the optimum gap.

Looking at the last 18, it looks like Meli is going to get a game and one of the props or 2nd rower will miss out.

It's only a voluntary tackle if you attempt to play the ball without anyone touching you. Otherwise it's not a tackle, it's hitting the ground, getting up and then getting put down again. We see it every week in SL now, players hitting the deck, players standing over them not touching and then the player gaining his feet only to be put back down again. The crowd complain, but the tackle is not completed until they are put down

When do they have to appear before the disciplinary panel. What do you get for fighting is it one or two matches they have to miss?
